Thread: What the hell happened today to sockets?

Hmmm... the thing is that - is this actually happening, or are we noticing it because we're paying attention? Unfortunately we have no "before and after" shots...
I'd like to get a little more data (anecdotes and whatnot) before I start crying foul.
Oh, it's changed. Not only does my pricing reflect sockets - I list them in the title of the piece.
I look at every piece I've ever made so I can set the title of the piece. Bio mod (+bonus) Color (color code if odd) Title - 4 sockets is my norm and has been for months.

Its not really scientific, but most of us can look a the cloting on our vendors and see if there is a difference. I probably still have a few hundred items on my vendor from before we noticed and I never really paid any attention to sockets on my vendor clothes. I only worried for customers who asked me for sockets (which has been a lot lately).

At this rate we are going to be charging by the socket! Maybe its a good time to start making some items by the crate?

Add me to the list of people who can't get 4 sockets on hardly anything.. not good when I'm in the midst of restocking my BE enhanced clothes vendor.
It's always something.. /sigh
Ouch...after my first response, it does appear that the 'artisan made' items, (like the casual shoes I mentioned above) are not affected by this...I rana few more for gee whiz, and bingo! 4 sockets most of the time...with a few 3's thrown in.
I then ran a bunch of BE'd shirts for a customer (a largish order of 30 formfitting undershirts), and literally half of them had 2 sockets, so that jibes right with what others are saying, statistically.
I've already marked up my 4 socket BE shirts an extra 20%, since they are already worth more due to this annoying new problem ![]()

Same problem with me as well.

The problem is that it is only efficient to make really popular clothing by the crate. I don't want to be a tailor who specializes in black dusters!!!!

But that's what they all want, right? *sigh*
Colors, people! ![]()
" I made 50 ribbed shirts today. I was using a +15 crafting tool and a 45.5 private crafting station. I am a Master Tailor, Artisan, and Droid Engineer, and was not using any enhancing clothing. Here's the breakdown on the results:
Of the 100 or so items I made for my vendor today, I'd say around 10 of them came out with 4 sockets. The resthad anywhere between 1-3 sockets with the exception of a doctor's dress and a sunguard that actually came out with 0 sockets! In the eight months or so that I've been a master tailor, I've only had three or four socketable items come out with 0 sockets."
"I would call out to the customer when I hit the create button. "Oooh 4 socket Again! The dice are hot tonight!!" And it was rare for a customer to walk away with more thanone 3-socket item.
"I made 2 schematics for the theme park packs today and got ONE socket on them."
