Thread: [closed]Poll:the new tailored segment for wookiee armor [closed]
Yes - Remove it
As a newly starting Tailor I am at a loss here as to the benifit to tailors our making the segment will do for the trade.
It is confusing enough trying to figure out how to market apparel and pricing without having to figure out how to supply the armoursmiths just exactly what they want, when they would probably rather do it themselves.
On the otherhand if I wanted to do nothing but the boring chore of supplying others all the parts they need for their thriving profitable businesses for free or poor pay it would be worth having. From What I can tell so far no one wants to pay much for non-BE enhanced items as it is. This would only give others one more item to exploit Tailors, costing Tailors money.
Yes, remove this. I don't mind supplying items for someone, but make sure I can use them too. The quality of armor should be from the armorsmith, not what tailor they begged to get the item from.
I can only imagine the amount of tells from armorsmiths saying "I have good hides, will you make me some wookiee segments right away?"
Yes-remove it.
I understand alot of folks make good money on components, but here is my fear. A) Tailors are going to be expected to make components for sale, i already get mulitple pushy requests from chefs for trim, who get upset when i tell them i only make enough to use in my own clothing. B) Wookiees have been begging, shouting, and protesting for this armor for some time, now they finally get it, and it's the only armor in game that requires multiple profession teamwork in order to make!! Why are they being singled out in this manner?
No
I'd rather it stay - those who don't want to make them don't have to, those who do can do so.
Yes = Get rid of it
And here's why....
- I do not sell components (others can, but that is only one issue)
- Dealing with experimentation would be great if it was for tailors, but what they are doing is asking us to experiment for the armoursmiths. This clearly is their profession, not ours. Make the item armoursmith schematics and let them use a fiberplast panel in it. That way they can deal with how to experiment all the right values. I don't do armour.
- The devs keep throwing usbones and table scraps every single publish. But don't do anything we ask for. Casks get trim, Fire blankets get synth cloth, and now armoursmiths get another little component we have to supply. Pretty soon all the wearable factories I have will be doing components for other classes and not me. No one will be able to buy clothes. Tailors won't have the ability to make any. I'm not a vending machine
- Now we see their fix for the poor palettes on wookie clothes. They are just going to provide a nicer product for armoursmiths to give them. HA! I guess we won't be making anymore wookie clothes. SOE has eliminated them as customers.
Please ignore the vitriolic spitting, as I am just livid at another bright developers' idea that is a slap in the face to us tailors. Have some self-respect and realize that this is bad for us. Had we been allowed to put this into wookie clothing, I might have paused before responding, but letting us be the ones to allow armoursmiths to make more money.... well, words fail me.
Yes remove it,we dont need one more thing for armorsmiths to bug me about, i became to talior to make CLOTHING not armor parts, i get bugged enough as it is.
Also I want the devs to see that we want what we want, and for them to stop throwing us scraps like they did with chef.
This just seems like another way to get us to shut up, like the devs think hey where should we put this oh lets put it in talior so they will shut up for a bit about the bug that be here for over 10months and all the clothing in game we dont let them make.
