1. Clothing does need to decay.... period. No argument there.

Combat decay is fine but I don't think noncombat is fair ( After all I still wear stuff in real life that is in reasonably good condition still that I've owned for a decade or more.....)

2. The current clothing decay on being hit is too fast. It needs to be slower, or max condition increased.

3. The current clothing decay on being hit is insufficient to address our renewable income problems. Clothing needs to decay for non-combatants as well.

This is unfair really. They've taken out entertainers money ( I played a dancer a long time...Mecinia and Enoorea were dancers I never got any tips for just healing BF, and I don't see the Inspiration buffs generating them any significant income ). It is almost impossible to afford ADKs or buy new tapes for crafting professions. Mecinia a chef now has a lot of money into her crafting clothes, I bought and saved and got one tape at a time ( save the last two items ). It took me 5 months to get them all and I'm not sure with the changes that chef is viable enough I'll make enough to replace them. Making clothing decay just from wear is going to hurt everyone, it will make prices rise even more than they are ( andthey are going to rise based on thechanges to chef, weaponsmith, armorsmith and bio engineer.

4. If clothing decays too quickly, the result will be combat toons not wearing any because it provides no discernable benefit and it is quickly gone. That kills our market and immersion (underpants, anyone?)

I bet you'll see combat toons running around naked if it decays too much even from just combat. As you say it provides them with no protection so why buy it.....and we have a crowd that wouldn't buy it.

5. BE tissues are far too expensive to decay that quickly. That market will dry up.

Bio Engineers are overloaded now. They will have to provide chef tissues, tailor tissues, medcines for docs, medics and combat medics, and make pet supplies for Creature Handlers. Costs for Goods and Services of those that rely on BEs is going to rise dramatically because I just don't see them keeping up until they raise prices. So if you think they are high now, wait 2 to 3 months.

6. I do not want experimentation on clothing condition. HOWEVER, I would accept it *only if*

Bienurdau as a tailor doesn't want any experimenting. Not on Condition not on Sockets. It means well have to compete with the other crafters for resources. This will further drive up prices which are going to increase anyway with the changes the CU are bringing.

- Clothing decays with USE, period.

- I can experiment on SOCKETS too.

- Subcomponents do NOT have experimentable condition.

- We have no more than TWO stats in a material that are relevant.

- Repairs actually WORK.

Armorsmiths only have 1 line to experiment with now on TC.....they won't need their 12 point suits with that.

Also another armorer has posted on our forum. Apparently on TC the quality of Wookie Padding doesn't affect the final product. This is our only item we can experiment on currently in live. We need someone to run test this and confirm it though.

Combat decay is good, but I am one of the few who doesn't want decay of any kind. I've been a tailor since launch and sales are steady. Decay means more work. If it is implemented then it should be combat only decay.

I would not want to experiment on clothing... I would have chosen armorsmith if I wanted to do that.

I have several items of clothing that I keep for sentimental reasons, I would not want these to decay and I cannot afford anti-decay kits. I have several sashes from pageants, a tailoring outfit too.

One thing that hasn't been brought up is the FSXP. Maybe if you have assembly line of force crafting, your clothing won't decay as quickly and the repair line from FSXP should give a big bonus to repairing items. Not saying everyone has to have FSXP but at least give some tangiblebenefit for having it.

To exhausted to get on any soap boxes....

  • Decay as worn... make tapes/plates removable... SEA's are NOT our concern (yes I have a crafting outfit).

  • I would despise experimenting...for those of us here since launch... we had it once, remember? It was useless, it sucked. I will NOT hunt resources for a profession. If I hunt, it will be to sell those resources.

  • If I wanted to Experiment or Horde resources, I'd be an AS...(at least they have RED boots)

Why do we have to always be punished for crappy game dynamics? Make clothing decay on use... make SEA's reusable and for goodness sakes...Make the garments unusable at 0/0 or 1/1 or 0/1..whichever it is today.

Heh, suppose I found a soapbox that wasn't so hard to climb up on.. let me get down now.

*cheers*

Clothing used as decoration should not decay!

I have sashes from the Miss Galaxy Pageants that I wouldn't ever want to decay.

I have stuff from other contests, that I wouldn't want to decay.

I agree. I haven't yet put something on the bazaar with Bienurdau that hasn't sold. I just opened up a little vendor shop outside Theed.

I have nothing against combat decay, in fact that makes good sense.

I just don't think we should have wear decay. I too have nice things I'd like to keep, like Mecinia's wedding dress and shoes I have on display, and then there are Enoorea's purple outfits that Innazar made her back whenI was just staring out and an entertainer...Innazar is no longer in game so no way to replace em....sentimental value.
