Thread: Poll II: Recolorization by Tailors only
(1) - no support from me for any form of colorization.
By the way Arthur would be a "he", not a "she" ![]()
Good luck making any sense of this poll as everyone wants to tag on their own conditions, lol.
2. I would support recolorization of clothing by Tailors if:
It could only be done once or a few times per item of clothing. (prefer few times so person can match up colors)
*It could be done by ANYONE with a dye kit made by a tailor (colors tied to the kit makers skill level)*
Lets see how the colorization works out with vehicles and Master Artisans. May give a better idea of what to expect. Just don't know if I want to be hassled constantly to change the color of someones clothes. Let them do it themselves, with one of my dye kits, at a reasonable profit of course. But not unlimited or repeat customers will buy one item and color it as they see fit everyday. Unlimited=lost sales. And what would be the fun of making everything in their default colors because someone could just easily change it to what they want constantly.
I wonder though if limiting colors to tailors skill level will cause non-master tailors to miss out as people may just go to a master tailor so they can have access to all colors.
I change my mind: see above reply.
2. I would support recolorization of clothing by Tailors if:
It could be done ONLY by Master Artisans.
It could be done only once.
And it is permanent.
1. I would not support any form ofclothing recolorization.
Bad, bad, bad ....EBIL!!!!!!!
At least let us get the vendor nerf over with before spanking us again!
If it absolutely is going to happen and no amount of pleading will prevent it then I would rather see it limited to coloring only clothing you made yourself, have the number of times you can recolor any given item limited, and colors would only be available if you have the corresponding skill level, but even with those limitations I don't like the idea. This potential nerf on top of the oncoming vendor/bazaar nerfs just has me allunhappy, I really wish instead of nerfing what's working fine they'd fix some existing problems instead.
I hate it, I HATE it, I HATE IT!!!!
The change was permanent.
Any Tailor would be able to do it, and it would be tied to their skill level.
It could only be done once or a few times per item of clothing. (this value should be displayed)
It could only be done by the creator of the item
If only the creator can do it, the item name be alterable.
Why I vote this way:
Allows a tailor to make an item, and then do those last minute "tweaks" to the color of an item for a customer, without removing the value of the tailor.

Actually, I've seen multiple tailor posts since release asking for dye kits or recoloring ability (though they were rarely made by tailor form "regulars"), it's just never gotten this much attention. I think the reason the idea is getting attention has to do with the armor implementation, but it's hardly an idea no tailors ever ever have asked for.
And another observation... most of the posts in those threads are usualy non-tailors.
Best idea I've heard in a long time.

You mean I get to vote again? oh goodie.
2. I would support recolorization of clothing if: (the ArthurDent version of the conditions TM)
a) people that spammed me to recolor underpriced clothing they bought from the bazar were automagically added to my ignore list by the system, charged a 1000 credit tax, and sent a system message saying they should have thought of that before they bought it.
b) people that bought clothing made by methat spammed me to recolor it were sent a system message containing a waypoint to my shop with the message saying that they could buy that clothing item with that color there (ok, I don't actually have a shop anymore, but this would have been useful for when I did...)
Woops, I almost forgot the most important condition:
3) Die packs must be made from mutant rancor teeth. Thus coining the phrase: "kill-a-rancor-get-a-die-pack"
2. I would support recolorization of clothing by Tailors if:
- Any Tailor would be able to do it, and it would be tied to their skill level. (only hue/shade (lighten/darken) color and not completely change it)
- It was limited to dyeing clothing out of factory crates. (get option upon removing from crate, colors tied to skill level)
- If only the creator can do it, the item name be alterable.
I would support recolorization of clothing by Tailors if:
- Thechange was permanent. - Permanent till i redy it again... colors shouldnt fade or whatever this means
- Only Master Tailors would be able to doMaster Tailor Colors!!!
- Any Tailor would be able to do it, and it would be tied to their skill level. - yes exactly...
- It was limited to dyeing clothing out of factory crates. - /drool i love this idea... but not limited to only this.
this is where im unsure about....
- It could only be done by the creator of the item. -if this is how it will be then the Item name will also need to be alterable since alotta tailors put the items color into the items name.
- If any Tailor can do it, the item name get'dyed by ...' tacked onto the end. -i like this little tag idea at the end of the item... they really should do stuff like this more...like Scout Blaster by Troll sliced by Ava or something, you know, anytime two people use their skills to get one kinda item both names should be on it. could go for BE mods in clothes & everything.
- If only the creator can do it, the item name be alterable. -yeppp...
