Typically I name everything Clothing name color -By A'Srai's Fashions
Except for BE clothing. There I put the BE mod in front. I found that my customers for those items are looking more for bonuses than for matching outfits.
Crates get labeled with date and serial number. Sometimes I may do several runs of synth cloth or RFPs and it helps to distinguish which run is which.

Before I was a tailor I seriously disliked having to search for clothes on vendors that didn't have colors or had "crafter marks" before the item name.So I don't do that with my stuff I make. To me it's all about the ease of finding items.
I label my stuff "item name - color {L'yka} ", such as Soft Undershirt - Black & White {L'yka}
BE clothes can be more difficult, the names are often longer and make it harder to get it all in there. Onmost I shorten the color names, or the item namelike Hvy Reinforced Jacketvs Heavy Reinforced Jacket...blk/wht instead of black & white, B.Blue instead of Bright Blue and so on. I started out with just "item name (bonus) color {L'yka} " but quickly found they get all messy after a while..so I switched to "category" like names.
Tamer's Wookie Sage Hood (+25 Taming Wild/Viscious) blk/wht {L'yka}
and so on. That way all the same kindof clothes with the same tissues group together making it easier for them to be found.

When I first started out tailor (way back towards the earrrrrrrly days), I didn't like how people would label their clothing either. I thought, "why would anyone want to wear someone's name in their inventory?" As time passed I've become more unaffected. Now, I see them as an easier way to sort clothing (when tailors put the color on the name.. for simpler browsing), and when people put their name on a product, I see it as a way to advertise, a right way to advertise (not spamming the starports). It also gives the customer a way to always get back with you... and I'm sure all of us have a lot of returning customers

I do it "Itemname (Color) -NJ-"
With BE clothing I do "+15 stat Itemname (Color) -NJ-"
I'll cut out the brand name or abbreviate the color if necessary for space.
The one exception is that I've been doing "Black Cloak (Hood Up)" on the bazaar. People are already looking just for a cloak and not shopping, so in that case I want to put the color up front. I am still selling them (overpriced at 5k) by the boatload.

I make so many clothes, I just label the BE clothes and that's it. Otherwise it would take me forever!

Yea I see it that way too, that way they know who made it and may remember where to come get more, or at least know who to ask.

I agree that BE clothing with mods in front sells much bether for me now than when I had it after item name.

I don't do BE clothes cause it's too much of a hassle for me to deal with and you don't get enough chances to make sure it looks right. So I don't need to label states in the name of clothes.
I do, item color name city. ie: Muscle Shirt Red/Black KVD MIA
KVD= Kease Vesi Designs
MIA= Made in Amyrlin.
I'm sure noone gets that from the tag but it's only 6 extra letters so I don't care. As far as the exact shade of red I don't worry about it since most people can't tell the difference between the shades and aren't too overly concerned with matching. It's all discards from custom jobs so the one who had the original outfit made matches perfectly, those buying from the vendor are just looking for a quick fix so color matching isn't perfect nor does it need to be.

Mine goes: Default Name, Colour (##) *Kelsaka*
The ## being the code for the colour, nice and simple 1-255 for the main palette, 1-48 on the basic leather palette etc. [4S] is added after the colour code if it has 4 sockets.
For BE clothing I put the skill mods first but they are kept in 3 seperate vendors (Combat Clothing, Healing Clothing, Scouting Clothing) so are still out of the way of a fashion browser (yep I have 9 visible vendors for clothing but it works!)
Crates are: Default Name (serial number)
Pack of crates are: Default Name (serial number) 40 Crates/1000 Pieces or 20 Crates/500 Pieces as some people still don't realise there are 25 items to a crate.

Mine are labeled, "Dry Clean Only".
Actually, I usually put any mods that they happen to have at the beginning of the name and my name at the end so people who like the clothes can remember the name and contact me. I used to add the color names too but that got too long and it seems like a lot of people are confused by the names of colors other than the primary colors.
