I don't change the original name of the clothing unless the customer requests it. Too many times I have had customers requesting an item, but the name of it is something like "Defenders Shirt"....
Standard item: Cloak (BLACK) *Prism Clothing*
Bio Item: BE Formfitting Undershirt (RED) (+4melee/+16stun)*Prism Clothing*
Putting the BE in front causes the items to group together, but you can still see what the item is in the vendor window. I like my name at the end, gives a little recognition without messing up sort or blocking actual name of item in vendor windows. Plus, when examining an item it will tell them who the creator is, so the "company name" works for me

I name mine with:
1. My brand name (which is my char's name)
2. The name of the item (I don't mess around with the names)
3. The color(s) of the item
4. The color code for those color(s) (from the charts I found on this forum
Example:
Mira's Cloak (Black, D4/D4)
I do my Bio clothes a bit differently:
+25/+25 Injury/Wound Healing LM BioWear Doctor's Dress

I label my clothing with a color after the name [example: shorts blue (light)]. I keep the color as simple as possible, mostly because so many people that ask me for orders just call the colors "light purple" or "dark red". Anyway, the main reason I put the color name after the clothing name is that I get an email telling me what sold. Since one of the first things I do in my daily activities is restock the vendors, this lets me know exactly which item and color I should replace. I like to keep a very wide selection of items in stock and checking the vendors to see what is missing would make this task far too long.
On my BE clothing I put the type it is before the clothing name [example: +stun/melee defense+ multipocket bandolier]. This is so the customer can alpha the list by name and get them grouped easily by type. I used to put the bonus number in the title too but recently I have been leaving it out...it doesn't seem to make a difference to the one buying it and it is info that I don't need for restocking.
As for putting my name on the label - I'd never do it...

Some things tend to sell better when htey're given a more exciting (or just plain more explanatory) name.
For example, the 'smock' didn't sell well for me until I made the mblack and labeled them "Gothic Smock - Black" or "Neo-Matrix Black Smock" - i couldn't kep 'em stocked.. Also the Belted Vest I rename as "Martial Belted Vest - white/wblack sash", and the Large Headwrap I rename "Large Turban Headwrap"...
OH - if you want to make fast, easy cash.. just take a regular old band (ring) and name it "Unity Band - Gold" - you won't be able to keep 'em on the bazaar.

I usually just leave the name alone and add MODs and colour information......i dont add the colour chart information cuz it barely makes sense to me an i am master tailor (so if I dont get it how will my clients).
I will sometimes shorten names...
so people will still know what they are ...but the vendor page will accept the whole name
and I love renaming stuff
it's fun
my fav. is my kitchen master hat with +25 injury/wound tx on it ....i call it
"Dammit Jim, I am a Doctor, not a chef!! (colour) +25 Injury/Wound Tx ....and so on...and yes sometimes the more boring in game items will sell better if you come up with some creatvie name for it
