Thread: Nivea's Outfits Pricing Compilation
A lot of people don't take into account that it takes X hours/days/weeks to be able to make certain items and we expect to be paid for our level of expertise and services. IMO, fighter types have it the easiest (And before the flames start I'm a Pistol Specialist). They are able to go out and gett credits and xp at the same time. Crafters only get credits (for the most part) if someone buys their items. If I were to hire a bodyguard, you bet I'd pay more for a Teras Kasi Master than a Novie Brawler!
I have had people come in and say “I buy clothes since I have nothing else to spend my money on”. It’s much easier to spend only an hour or two a day restocking items then 5 or 6. I am trying to cut down my workload to under 3 hours a day... still havn’t made it that far yet. I want time to dance at the cantina with some of my customers!!
I have around 10 customers that spend 10 - 20k every other day at my shop. They have nothing else to spend money on and they enjoy wearing different outfits and I enjoy making them those outfits.
I base my prices off of Nivea's and I've had no problems selling. I lower the prices on some items which are harder sells, or if they just seem too high to me. Certain pants and shirts I sell for lower.
The only complaint I've gotten about prices was from an artisan who said I was overpriced since she couldn't get that much for her bone armor. /shrug
I looked at some of the spreadsheets and was amazed at how low people value their time. Should you pay significantly more for a tier 4 item? *I* think so-it took me substantially longer to get to the point that I could make that item.
On behalf of Nivea's prices and clothes ...
As a consumer, I find it reasonable. Mostly, if I found it cheaper, I'd be happy then wonder -why- it was so cheap. It goes along with that saying:
You get what you pay for.
And I like that I'm getting quality stuff. I like the colors, the way it looks, the timely way in which my orders are completed.
I gave her an order of some what.. 15 things one day, somewhere up in the 45K credits range and expected to wait days. The next day she was done. That is well worth the price.
I've been an armorsmith and just couldn't tolerate how I was being complained at by Tailors who said I wasn't charging enough and had no idea how much a synthethic cloth piece was worth, or the reinforced fiber panels -- well this is true. I wasn't a tailor and the tailor I was willing to pay was doing it for free! So, then the players complained at my prices for armor... They paid for them on the bazaar but if they asked me personally, they complained. Tailors thought I was selling too cheap. Those needing the armor thought it was too much.
My opinion was: someone will buy it at this price, so I'm not going lower. And I made a good deal of money that way.
So if Nivea is able to stay overworked with her prices as they are... then so can all the other tailors. =)
I know I'm willing to pay the extra cost to know that it's quality stuff!

This listing is far from being overpriced. Just wonder around and see how many money is floating around, you'll soon see that many combat class don't have anything to do with money once they spendthousand on guns and armors.
And yes, decay will help our class a lot.
Ohh and I'm glad you're happy with the compilation Nivea ![]()
I would make an argument for increasing the price to the spec-ops packs from 3k to 5k. I say this due to the combination of it requiring three crafted subcomponents, a named metal, and being a cool looking desirable item.
Well you whiners, gimme a break!
You folks can make an asston of money in a short time and then you're whining because you need to pay 3k for a specops? Sheesh. I hate people like you! Go shop at your tailor that does them for 700, and shut up!
so you hate people like me because we dont want to spend 4 missions worth of money on some thing we can get from a single delivery? I mean a flight suit for 15k??? and I though 5k was too much, IMO I dont mind paying 3k for certain items and I mean a flight suit even at 5k seems expensive but not that bad, I do have to give you guys a break though, I mean certain items do take alot of time and materials, I just think the prices on certain items should be cut in half.![]()

I'm willing to bet you bought looted stuff for 700. Heck, even I sell looted stuff for way cheap just because. If you didn't then I suggest you keep going back to your tailor because you won't find prices like that elsewhere. I'm not into giving my **edit** away and I won't. If you don't want to pay 5k for a Gunman's Duster then go somewhere else becauseI don't even get tailor xp for gunman's duster, i only get general xp....Yes its a bug but its true. So go back to your tailor who sells you cloaks for 700 and may luck be with you on your adventures.
I put myself up with a similar customer. At the end he pissed me so much off I simply /quitted and went LD on purpose. Next time I will send these people to hell.
To get back to these dumping prices: Get a **edit** clue. I ran five hours of gnort missions to get a medium tatooine house. That was with Pistol2 and Ranged1. In very near future people will be in middle of or master combat elite. Appropriate missions pay out WAY more. Hell on advanced planets you will be able to run missions above 10k and 20k EACH. A flightsuit is also a master elite item, why shouldn't I charge a lotif you can make a LOT as master [insert combat profession here]? Hell, my PA friends aren't even past 50% of an elite combat profession and already running 10k missions with relative ease. And that said, you will have your clothes some indefinitely long time since decay doesnt work, so stop complaining.
The only time when I will lower my prices considerably is when decay works.
