{I'm the tailor a-yup butI am not the moron}
'Tell ya what, sinceI don't need to do anything for someone so unwilling to help me out with a order they want, I suggest finding another tailor. BE Well'
I'll deliver stuff for my regular customers who want a new outfit every other day (since the single outfit order typically turns into 3 or 4 outfits). plus, the regulars like that all hang out in the cantina in Theed or Coronet, so a trip to deliver one customer's order typically turns into 4 or 5 other customers in the cantina ordering stuff. by the way, not all dancers just want the metal bikini and extremely revealing skirt. i actually haven't made any of those in 2 or 3 weeks now. (you mean that tiny skirt uses 200 units of fiberplast???)
but i usually won't deliver to customers unless it's a large order like several BE items. (JTL has made that more possible since i can travel with no wait, and no ticket fees).
There is a huge difference on delivering a order, which I do extremly often,no matter what the order is,
and being told you have to go there while they are doing a mission to make what they are wearing ![]()

To make my workload manageable I simply don't make BE clothing or the looted items. This is because I plan to have good stocks of Ithorian and Wookiee wearables, and I can't do *everything*. I even refused a backpack schematic and HD leather that another tailor attempted to *give* me for free (I really appreciated the gift, but I didn't want to go down that road). I'll do those things if a friend really really wants or needs the item, but otherwise it's not worth the hassle.
That's how i am with the looted items.
I have more schematics and HD Leathers and Clasps than I know what to do with. maybe i should just use up all the crafting apron schemes i have, and sell the aprons for fairly cheap. i was given for free all the HD Leathers and Clasps and Schemes from a friend when he dropped tailor.
i'm a Master Tailor/Master Weaponsmith, so i'm already very busy gathering high end resources for making weaponry, so i can't really bother with making all the special schematic items.

eh, I'm too lazy to stock those items regularly, so I just build whatever available when I want it. I've been pushing Odi to make me med tissues since those sell well, but otherwise I don't have a regular BE/loot restock schedule

/hi5 I'm a master Tailor/Master Weaponsmith too! When people come to me for a weapon, (only through referals because I pretty much don't do custom weapon orders) they are surprised to find my tailor tag which I always keep on.
My annoyance, though mostly only with having to educate ignorance, is having to explain to people the difference between BE and clothing attachment mods. Having to explain that attachments go in afterwards, BE mods must be crafted into, that I can't make either, and that I do not get BE components at the behest of a customer. Only whenever I feel like getting some, do I. Invariably I still get asked "sooo....if I get a BE to make me a +25 melee stun defense component, you can put it into the shirt I'm wearing?" ARGH When it comes to BE and sockets, what I have is what they get. I'm not customer oriented. I'ma tailor only because I love fashion (and designing a look for a person who doesn't want all black).
- How crafting works
- How clothing works
- How BE clothing works
- What resources you need
- What quanity you need
- What the stats might be for the worst BE clothing
- What the stats might be for the best BE clothing
After all of this, which took about 1 1/2 hours, he decides not to buy any.

I actually have an 'infospammail' all made up about this,
it includes a blurb about SEAs and them not being player crafted
and closes with how I price BEWEAR (most don't get each tissue will be paid for)
I found having these emails made up and sent to myself ready to be fwd'd out
saved hrs of typing for someone with very little skill like myself.
{have ones for colors in signs and text, macros, handy links, all kinds of em, about 10 emails sit ready to go}

I just started up my Starsider shop and so far I've had very few sales, and no tells. I'm for the most part enjoying my anonymity, though money is a bit tight. I'm debating whether I want to start advertising, or whether I'd rather kill Imperial oppressors for cash. Hmmmm....
you need bigger signs or something, I was running around the city but haven't found your shop O.o
