It's a good list! I agree that our number 1 issue is probably the whole decay thing, since essentially once someone buys what they want, that's it. They never have to buy anything again ever. Having 0/0 and 1/1 conditions unequipable will breathe new life into the tailor market, I hope, as will slow decay over time.

I love the idea of more colors, and more specifically, the number of the colors in the attributes. Man, that would rock! Customers would be able to tell you "I want a dress with XX color and XX trim" and you'd get it right on the first try. Plus it would make matching articles of clothing so much easier and pleasurable.

I'd love to see a TON of new schematics. More than I can possibly deal with. I love options! Factional clothes would be very cool, but also just expended options in what we have, like glasses/goggles, flight helmets (in JTL I can only hope? ), belts that don't look like hoola-hoops, in game clothes and more movie clothes, etc.

All in all, looks real good to me! Here's hoping that some of these start to get addressed sooner rather than later!

The big issue with decay is in how it affects different customers. The entertainers buy alot of great clothing from us, yet never die, nor enter combat. They sway and shake and strum and blow those horns. But the clothing won't decay unless they die. Usage/time based decay would have their clothing eventually fall apart, but this should take a long time. For someone that is taking care of their clothes, and repairing it as needed, then it should go a long way. This decay only effects worn clothing, not inventory clothes.

Death decay was put in place as a penalty for dying. I don't feel that it is a necessary penalty, considering that it only affects armour, clothing and tools. If worn clothes took damage in combat, then perhaps we'd see a better turnover rate. I would like to see them have higher condition though. 1000 condition on a set of pricey BE clothes filled with tapes would not do well for the game.

Agreed. I am thinking selfishly here, but my armor expt outfit took a lot of time and an obscene amount of money to put together. If a quick decay were implemented, I'd go ballistic. I think there are a slew of crafters out there who think the same thing. I would say that time-based decay should be something on the order of 0.1-0.2% of the item's condition per 24 hours worn. I still would not like it, but at least I would not have to save up 50+ mil every month just to keep making armor at the level I do now. I'd probably just quit instead as I am a niche crfater who likes to make a few specialty products rather than spend all of my game time mass-producing things.

I have not agreed with death decay since they implemented it. It would be much better togo back tocorpse runs or have a financial and/or XP penalty upon death.

Edit: Sorry for the off topic ramble. I just don't want to see an overly-aggressive decay get pushed in that will make the game less fun for quite a few people.

Definitely a great list.

I'd move #10 up to #3 and it would be a tough call between moving 6 or 7 up to 5.

Something else I wouldn't mind seeing in the future, would be to have more clothing items wearble under armor and items (preferably those wearble under armor) that can take two separate reinforced fiberplast panels. That way we can max out our bonuses and under armor clothing would become very appealing.

I always thought that when you clone, the server takes a snapshot of your character, and all xp at that moment would be how you were at the time you are cloned. If you gain 300k xp between clones, then you lose it all. It would make people clone more often, and be another money sink. (We need more) Plus that kind of penalty would be enough to remove the death decay

Your list is similar to mine except one thing...

1) Universal color palette.

We want the same 255 color palette applied to every item that we make, to make things easier to match, and because we want to be able to make colorful boots, gloves, etc.

2) Bandoliers as containers please!

3) Factional Uniforms

Tailors want to make uniforms, or gear with factional insignia.

4) Additional Schematics

Both those that are present in the game as loot/npc wear, and new art.

4) 0 condition decay bug

When clothing decays to 0 condition or is repaired to 0/0 or 1/1, it should not be equippable at all.

5) Time-based decay

Clothing should decay slowly when it is equipped and the character is logged on.

  1. Time based Decay, remove death decay on clothing. Remove decay of any sort if clothing is not being worn

  2. 0/0 and 1/x bug. Make non-functional clothing unequipable.

  3. Sockets!! Give us our Sockets back for masters

  4. Factional Insignia added to any shirt/jackets

  5. Cargo pockets = additional inventory. The Special Ops pack uses 3 of them. How about10 extra slots per cargo pocket. Reduce Travel packs to 20 items, and make a difference between the packs.

Just making the crago pocket have inventory like the cargo pocket loot items would be nice too.

Now you see why the list was so hard to prioritize we all have different opinions.

This community has some of the most creative individuals in the game - it is a pleasure to read and make the occasional contribution here. There is a certain amount of stagnation in crafting professions that make "statted" items (armor, weapons, etc). This seems almost like a constraint as everyonbe narrows on trying to do the same thing. The tailors seem divergent in many of their goals as a contrast. Although unwieldly, it is refreshing.

I have to say for myself, I have been a tailor now for over a year... that the limiting color pallette has got to be the most annoying thing to me and has been for a while. I feel that having the full pallette for all items would open up a bunch of new options for clothing combinations.

I agree with all the points 100% apart from worries on the clothing decay as some have already said.

I have two accounts on this server and my Tailor was the original character, now i have worked hard not only to get to 12pt Exp and 12pt Ass but also with my other account for Two Handed Melee Speed Tapes and to lose that lot would be a disaster and possible a wave goodbye to SWG altogether.

I do support the idea of removable tapes when clothes are at 0/0 or 1/1 then at least the tailor community will be happy and the people with expensive skill tapes will be happy too.
