I know that a lot of people will not want to hear this, but I don't think that skilltapes were ever meant to last forever. I know that I will have several that I will hate to see dissapear, but I think of them sort of like looting a legendary weapon. They are really nice when they are around, but eventually they can't be used anymore. This kind of turnover is part of what is supposed to keep new players competitive with the older ones.

/agree, and in addition, we have clothing repair. If you repair your skill taped clothes, you'll get a lot more wear out of them.
Ubese armor shirts and bandoliers have been "nerfed" - now they have condition that can decay. I really think that the devs did not mean for skill tapes to last forever - hence the ubese shirt/bando nerf.

Here's the issue: do we tailors want to be responsible for removing skill tapes worth millions of credits, and having a chance to lower them or destroy them? I, for one, would not perform this service, should it be part of our abilities because of the... quality of the likely clientele...

Any gunbunny that has a shirt with +25 accuracy, +25 damage, +25 speed and asks me to remove the tapes is going to make me go "Eeep" because I'd be terrified of the consequences.

Well I was thinking it would work very closely to repair, so anyonewould have the abilityremove it, tailors of course would get a bonus. I think that that would keep someof the undesirable clients away. I don't know many people that seek out a ws or as for repairs, except for some of the hardcore PvPers and most of them tip really well for the service. Either way, I'd hate to see anyone be able to remove tapes without penalty.

I agree with most of the items on this list.
I don't necessarily think 255 colours on ALL items is a great idea, since that would lead to an army of Wookiees wearing red and orange, and by my mind, that's not a good thing. But I would like a consistant palatte that makes sense. At least one pair of boots that will accept all colours would be a nice start.
I don't like a time based decay, since I think that would lead to even less customers. Decay is moot right now anyway, since the 1/1+0/0 bug is still in effect.
Maybe our Top 5 should be shifted to a Top 3, since it seems we can't come to a consensus on 4-10.

Okay I swapped 8 and 10 so BE clothing is higher on the list. Here's a question though - what about white-as-secondary color bug? We can't let that request die! What are we willing to live without and substitute that in for?
Also what about socketing? Are we okay with the current socketing rate? Are we okay with how skill tapes are working?

Okay, I'll go first - if it were up to me, I'd swap in the socketing issue and the white color bug issue and take out the labeling and vendor organization issues. Why? Becuase though annoying, those aren't tailor issues - espeically the vendor organization - they're more merchant/artisan issues. And while annoying, they aren't "broken" - while the white color bug and the socketing issues are either broken or very serious.
What do you all think about this suggestion?

Anyone else? Any nays?
(Don't worry, we'll be hashing this out at least over the weekend.)

Here's one, Remove looted clothing from the game, I don't know how this completely affects the community but I do know I for one can go camp meatlumps and start a tailor business and not be tailor at all. NPCs seem to drop all sorts of clothing. I don't mean though, remove it all, just the "random" clothing. Clothing from quests, or npc specific (i.e. NS bicep) should be kept in.

I guess what I want most from the list is:
1) Color palette extended to more items. I don't just mean the 255, I want the additional colors from the dress robe added to that as well.

2) Fix the white as a second color.
3) 0 condition bug.
4) For the love of gawd a numbered colored system...I label my clothes but it's really annoying that the palette has about 3 different ways it can be viewed and it would be so much easier for me if it was automatic.
5) Factional Uniforms
I don't care much about the sockets. I haven't had much time to test my assembly tapes, because I've had a good week in my shop and have been working like crazy to catch up, however, I feel I have a high percentage of 3 and 4 sockets...I'm happy with that.
