Oh yeah... one more thing:

10) ADD AN INCREASED CHANCE OF WOUNDING...or have bleeds flat out WOUND the mind bar... this would certainly add a pvp dynamic (wouldnt affect PVE at all) BUT put a timer on how often you can add a wee bit of black to their bar (ala knockdown) that way combat medics have the wounding high-ground still. This isnt too over-powering and STILL wouldnt make up for our massive DPS loss. But if all my sugestions (i know im dreaming there) are done it may fix it...

but realistically the coding would be a bit hefty for a quick fix and i wouldnt expect that till the revamp (witch kinda cansels request 9)

just a thought.. stack two-hand with another melee proffession =). im master fencer/ swordsmen 0404/ tk 4000/ master brawler. powerboost/warcry2/lunge2/dizzy/blind/intimidate2/head hit3/head hit3/head hit3/head hit3 =).


and then bow.. hehe if you feel like it

Rarely do I post anything, and I am loathe to do so now, but the recent DoT changes force me to do so. I have 'had the honor', to pay for this game since July 3rd 2003. Since then, Ive been many different professions. Smuggler, Commando, Bounty Hunter, Rifleman, Master Brawler, Swordsman, TKAand Fencer just to name a few...mostly I dabbled and explored the professions, and others i rose reasonably high into. I found that most professions hadtheir strong points andtheir weak points. But I also found that some professions don't really have weak points, or the that the supposed 'weak points' are reallyjust superficial. Swordsman currently haveSEVERAL weakpoints, and no substantialstrong points. We have vulnerability, but no ABILITY. Some would say, " Well... Swordsman can attack the mind.". Yes, we can attack the mind, but we have limited range, ETREMELY limited accuracy, and a very high cost weapon, not to mention special moves. A Rifleman, Bounty Hunter, or Combat Medic can easily more effectivly attack the mind pool as of now.I know....i was 3-4-4-4 BH(prepatch) and 0404 Rifleman...andthough I've never been a Combat Medic, I have experienced first hand just how deadly their mind atacks can be. TKA's may even be on par with Mind damagenow, especiallywith Swordsman not having effective DoT anymore.SO........aside from ability,(or lack thereof) to attack the mind pool effectively what else does the Swordsman have? Hmm...uhhh ... Oh yeah...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. So as a totally objective player,if my goal were to create a character built to attack the mind, WHY ON EARTH WOULD I CHOOSE SWORDSMAN? Logically, objectively, there is no reason to choose Swordsman. It as as simple as that.

After playing around with the mind hits all night in pvp and pve i took them off my hotbar. They completely suck now.


We have been nerfed to the nth degree now.


1. we cant stack bleeds anymore (this was reasonable and understandable, but it reduced our damage output by about 25%)


2. Resist from armor effect bleeds now (again understandable but also greatly effecting our damage output)


3. 80-85% reduction in bleed damage? W T F wasn't the other two things enough? How weak and ineffective did they want this ability to be?




I know this effects a lot of classes and not just ours but this was one of our defining abilities and its what gave us an advatage in pvp and pve. No reason to play a swordsman anymore.

im not sure about this one, i tested it this morning, and got 2 bleeds stacked, first a MS1 and MS2 from rifleman, then a MS2 from rifleman and a MS1 from swordsman, there was definatly 2 mins bleed ticks going on at once, admitidaly for pathetic damage though.







/agreed I checked this too and we are still stacking mind bleeds just at a pathetic tick and the initial strike is still a random HAM pool.

After playing for most of the day (crackdown? what crackdown?) I think I'll be removing the two bleeds from my hotbar tomorrow. Not sure what I'll replace them with at this point - one will probably become my meditate button (finished CH today and going after TKA next)... Until now I've just been typing /medit so you can imagine that putting it on the hotbar instead of what was one of my most useful attacks is a pretty big change.

I was trying to grind out the rest of my CH XP today, using my sword skills to do most of the damage. I didn't really miss the bleeds at any point - but I'm also a Master Brawler, and knockdown/warcry2/headhit3/hh3/hh3/hh3 etc is still just as powerful as it was before the patch, so I'm less fussed about it now. I was fighting on Dantooine, so it was against every kind of voritor I could find (great CH xp from the higher ones, nice swords xp too) and the usual pikets, bols and occasional Kunga I strayed too close to.
The only times I was in any real danger (armored and buffed, of course) was trying to fight 6 or 7 horned voritor stalkers or some similar name, red con, 12k ham, light armour and high resists. My pet and I took a beating that time, mostly due to the mind poison.
The other time was when a kunga warrior spawned in to help a kunga chieftain and they whooped my pet pretty hard. Barely scratched me before the knockdown/wc2/hh3 took them both out in around 10 total hits though.

So the Devs can keep their silly bleed. Just don't nerf warcry2.

well...what can i say that isn't being said already. We didnt get hit by the nerf bat, they tee'd up and knocked us out of the park. It's good and great that we have big things in the future like overall damage but here is my problem with that.


1. What type of comprimise is it to take away our mind damage and up our damage on overall generic hits? How does it help us in anyway if we hit harder but have to work down 3 ham bars to get our kills now? MAYBE if they lets us hit harder and pick our HAM bar attacks...but they won't.


2. Fighting is supposed to be fun...if all we do is swing hard and tank what's fun about that? I can walk away from my keyboard everytime i get in a fight? oh wait healing is super-fun I'll stick around for that.


3. This one ties into number 2 alot, but what do we have left? really now, we can't even fill a toolbar anymore unless we make up macro's for different weapons and stuff...we have an area attack and a head hit. Even if they change mindhit to target the mind initially, then it's just more like headhit....with an added 2000 damage over 2 minutes. Useless.



Anyway the topic is bleeds, and I can the stacking issue...thats fine. I personally think that they should stack between classes though. Rifleman and 2hand are two different bleeds, 2 different sets of skill points went in to attaining those bleeds...so whats the problem. And the bleeds should have retained most of their damage. To waste a skill to less than 10% of its former power is insane. It has to be the biggest nerf in the game to date, and it hit's us and rifleman the hardest. Unfortunalty for me, I took both of those in September and only mastered them about 3 weeks ago haha. Oh well life goes on.


In the end we really need some power given back to bleeds. It could even be an advantage to swordsman. I don't want to nerf tkm's, cm's, commando's I want so "tricks" or usefull skills as well. Why can't bleeds be one of ours? It's gotta be easy for them to do, it sets apart from other classes.

This is a really stupid new thing. bleeds have been sooo nerfed, and so so has swordsman. What kind of sence is it now to say that a bleed attack really bleeds a certain pool? Quite frankly though, there is very little hope for this game...i REALLY feel sorry for carbineers now...they can't even solo a damn chuba now (was a figure of speetch of course, hehe). They gave 'em timers, and whats worse, they gave CS2 a timer for something it DOESN'T EVEN DO. I say, FIX THE DAMN MOVE SO THAT IT DOES KD FIRST, THEN USE YOUR PATHETIC LITTLE /NERF COMMAND DO PLACE THE TIMER ON IT! There, that being said and done....on with swordsman...


there isn't much to be said after me saying all this. In a nutshell tho, this is NOT logical at all!!

As i said b4, why do bleeder attks actually have action, health or mind in it if it doesn't even always bleed that pool?


Look, a proff is (in this game) supposed to specilise in hitting a certain body part, in the case of TKA, swordsman, fencer, pikeman, pistoleer, carbineer and rifleman, right? RIGHT, SOE? LISTEN!! What ya'll just did see, is take away an ability to hit that body part. We for instance are supposed to hit the head like rifleman, we should be able to know even at novice BRAWLER **edit** a head actually IS!! Here i go, a little dumb a$$ scene...


"Hey, look rifleman, let's attack the head of that rancor!"

"Got that, dude."

Tyreal uses /melee2hmind1 against a rancor......10 sec's later....

**edit**? I hit it's head right? that IS it's head right?????


As you can see, this was very stupid and dumb etc. It shows that we can't even tell **edit** a head, leg or torso IS. Put some back into it devs. AND....


MAKE IT LOGICAL!!

This is all that needs to be said: Doctors take more HAM damage healing than they do from Swordsman bleeds with a powered up Powerhammer.

As long as the damage per tick is as low as it is now, I will not be using the bleeds. They have already been removed from my toolbar. Even if the initial damage is done to the mind bar I will not be adding them back. I can't think of a reason or situation to use an attack that may or may equal out to my headhit3 1 to 2 minutes later.


This really does underscore how few attacks a Swordsman has. Swordsman was my first profession and I've always enjoyed it, but I've never really put any thought into our lack of diversity until now. To give you an idea, I'm a master heavy swordsman and master rifleman. My Rifleman toolbar is full with just rifle attacks. My sword toolbar has a couple of swordsmanattacks, burst run, heal, hot keyed weapons, an unarmed attack, and some rifle attacks. To me, that just seems wrong.

I am master doc and master sword and now my bleeds are gone from the tool bar as well useless. Spent the last month getting to master swordsman got it last wendsday and now this holy **edit** i am going to have to start a whole new class now .I hate this game

Even if you use other skills to round out the faults in swordsmen... you cant rely on sword for ...anything now...

I mastered sword ... what for? theres 3 useful moves: AOE3 HIT3 HH3 bleeds BLOW
I HAD to take medic because I was killing myself with speacials
I took carbineer 0242 for more counter attack and a KD ...now its timered
I took TKA 4004 for meditate/powerboost and defense so i can stand toe to toe

After all that im a competent tank in PVE and can do pretty well in PVP

I feel totally kicked in the nuts... theres a rumor going around that cross-class abilities arnt going to stack IE, no more getting melee defense from other places,
No more getting counterattack from carbines...

I have just tasted the nerf juice and if it gets worse... why even play swordsman?
or at all for that mater?

heres my other thing... I spent ALL my points fixing sword... I dont like "grinding"
I like playing. I REFUSE TO WASTE MY EFFORTS HOLO-WHORING, or switching to somthing "uber" like all the other wankers. Im mostly a casual player and im too busy to waste my time on grinding... im done with that.

if its true "That witch doesnt kill us makes us stronger" we swordsmen if we put up with this crap for another month HAD BETTER see some light at the end of the tunnel... im canceling my account and playing somthing fun... like parcheasy.
