im a carb/swrodsman/doc, and in gvg i find myself owning ppl with my sword, but i usually get help from my ranged friendlies, and the ppl i own are to busy exchanging blaster fire then to deal with me. solo, ive killed 3 ppl at once, in the back of the moenia cantina (the ppl who followed me in their thought i was a carbineer:0) and i spammed area attacks. in gvg id have to say around 6 or 7 or so. in this one raid on ah i cornered like 4 or 5 ppl and took em out easy, but it was tough keeping alive, and again, i had some support. as a swordsman/doc im sure you do good in gvg, but we should also be contenders in pvp. i think a 10 meter range is not out of question. and a 20 meter lunge isnt either.
o and shi, how long do your opponents kneel after you hit them with a lunge, because for me it was less than half a second, and before that they were sliding. i cant see in pvp a swordsman beating an accomplished ranged outdoors, at least on my server. i find myself always going for the charge shot in pvp, and of course if i was pure swordsman i wouldnt have that, so i dont know what to say.
o and for shi's friend, you sound kinda challenging (at least by way you brag about yourself), ill be back on tarq in a month or so, mind makin a player on it???:1

Sorry, I only plan on playing on Starsider. It's where all my RP is and where all my guildmembers are. I spend all my time there. I would have started a second account just to have an alt there by now but I'm trying to unlock my FS slot.
I'm also not trying to brag. I'm just stating facts in light of the massive amount of whining. People complain thier class sucks because of this or that and thier gimped and typically point at some other class and say if your not this then don't bother trying to PvP. It annoys me to no end. Riflemen by popular opinion suck in PvP. I have accomplished some pretty impressive things in PvP as a rifleman as my main focus. So I set them out as examples of "I can do it, so can you" and "Here is some of what I do that may help you." are typically what I post about on the subject. Even on the rifleman forum they cry about things I totally don't understand. Like Rifleman have horrible DPS even at master. Thats comming from suposedly a master rifleman. I can tell you as a master rifleman, that I dount ANY class commando or LLC BH can match our DPS at master with either a high end Laser rifle or a high end T21.
Shimond I think does the same thing, giving examples of what she has done as a PURE melee to encourage those in her profession.
In return we get called liars etc. So I'm just not going to give sugestions anymore or share what works for me.

What is it that you have shared? All you have been saying is that you are good in PVP. You use primarily Rifle it seems and not melee. You are bragging about beingable to take down anyone. You are saying that basically we are stupid and don't know how to play. Thefact is you are ranged and notMelee. Im not complaining about the Rifle.
I do know this if you had my character, which I have spent the same amount of skill points as you, you would not last30 seconds with any decent ranged person regardless of your tactics.
Im not here to argue with you. Melee needs fixing and that will continue to be my stance. Most people do see this except for the few so-called elite players that run around in a strong ranged group. I now doubt PVP is even worth playing until its fixed. There is a very nice thread on it over at the discussion boards about it. It is actually pretty senseless.

It would be more credible if you would write more coherently. You say its not broken and then you turn around and say what we need. You obviously didn't read what I was communicating with the 35m. You actually believe the swordman profession is growing because of you? You need a reality check. You're in Kendred land again.
The part I find interesting here is that I am apparently viewed as someone that hates the sword. However, I've spent I don't know how much time trying to keep disgruntled Battlemasters in the sword profession. You guys are simply not helping our profession by saying we don't need fixing.
I simply do not believe that you are taking down a BH with 2 AT's and the BH is spamming eyeshot on you. Unless of course you have a group of ranged players with you.

he isnt my budddy hes an imperial he is a upcoming swordsmen/doctor though and morath on MY server yes read it MY server.... i get tons of questions about swordsmen allmost everyone comes to me i get so many tells aday now its almost annoying it is becuase of me Kiri was using a cannon to complment her at st's dmg she did not eyeshot me she actually sent her two at st's on me and ran outside i run the at st's upstairs and thenr an back down stairs they dont follow so well~ then burst ran to her and mind hit 2 one thing i love about burst run due to lag its hard to reaction inless you read when i actually use it and not visually when i pvp im solo 80% of the time other 20% you can bet im with either v-m or shokon
Morath we arent broken .... those thing si mention would be nice but do we need them currently NO we do not. i own up bestine almost everyday the mature imps have become my friends and the immature ones hate me /shrug
apeist i use buildings alotwhen in a city vs mutiple people some follow me in and they die i have a 718 dmg power hammer doesnt take many hits to kill someone and if i mind bleed with a 718 dmg hammer thier dead no questions asked Divide and conquer is all im doing you guys are all proly using swords heh when your a master its all about the power hammer other day they where all close together peeps i was fighting i burst ran outta a building and aed 2 x before they ciould move i incapped 2 and killed 2 faction pets others where injuried bad =p
yea i got owned by ken, i think he's pretty cool tho. ok about the buddy thing.... i'm not his buddy.. we just fought a few times. like i said i think he's cool tho.
To me the swordsman class isn't broken it's more like.. we are unfinished. kinda like expert finesse which has totally nothing in it...
I love reading this thread. I'm glad some melees are posting about how great they are doing instead of just complaining about the same old stuff. It is more difficult to be a melee character than a gunman in pvp, but we aren't totally useless. I've had some success in group battles because people are usually surprised to see a melee in a big fight and don't really know how to deal with it. I'm also pretty good at taking outcreatures andfaction petsin short order.
I'm a master pikeman with only a little pvp experienceand I'm definitely going to start using my action bleeds more often and reverse-kiting the suckers into buildings. Obviously not as effective as the mind bleed, but useful anyway.
If I were on Starsider instead of Kettemoor I'd love to fight alongside these guys and learn a thing or two.

kendreck, ive used buildings too, a lot. you know what ppl do, they don come in. what really pisses me off is that i am carrying a carbine and have either carbineer or doctor as my title.
and thats even when i solo. the main reason why i run in buildings is cause im fighting multiple ppl, but for some reason they never some in. lol maybe cause i owned em so bad one on one, and they know im a swordsman. and kendreck, why are they gonna follow you into buildings to fight you, after youve killed so many ppl, and every1 knows ur a swordsman??
i need to join ur server, as it should be named the "dumb as fruitbasket marksman server",
so either the ranged are just mind numbingly dumb or ur lying, and i do understand that it can be that they are mind numblingly dumb. whenever i run in they are always sayin **edit** like "dont go in there, he could have pets", "he could have a trap or usin some type of exploit" or even "dont go in there he could be a melee". but yes eventually some passes by and sees the red on theradar and comes in, and i f em up, but then i get tired and just come outside and MAYBE, if im lucky, get around 2 kills or so, thx to my carbineer skillz.
so maybe the stuff ur sayin is true, but the marksman on ur server are MR, or have a ton of lag, and didnt see the sword u were carrying.
dammit, when is shi gonna read this post and tell me how long her lunge effects her opponent. ahh, maybe i should make a new post.
and creatures, why would ou even pay attention to them??
as for faction pets, we are the almighty slayers, cept for the at st, but only the commando should stand a chance against those anyways.
kendreck, im starting to get you, but it was ur own fault u never posted ur tactics here before. and the ppl on ur server do have to be pretty dumbass. do u go around with a different title??
well i can tell you one thing, try that **edit** on tarquinas and ur gonna get owned. if u stay in there long enuf they ll just walk away, and if ur lucky someone who passes might com on in. but when u think about headin back out, u better belive ur gonna get squashed, nuthin but high level commandos and bh's in bestine.
have you all noticed that most imperials are either bh's, commandos, pistoleers, or ch's. this doesnt go for all 3 of u imperial meleers.
o u on kettemoore, do u know a guy named rond?? could u send him a tell askin if he works at papa johns, and when he asks how do u know, say some kid from georgia just told me.
