tell me that kendreck. i have said that when my only combat class was the sword i struggled, but i was a 1-2-1-2 swordsman at the time, and a high level medic, and a low level ch.

of course i rarely ever had my pets out as once i became a ch i realized it wasnt for me.

lol, i would never need your help, or the help of anybody, for that matter.

shi's friend makin me wanna join their server, and ur stories that prove how dumb the ranged on ur server are makin me wanna join urs. but i got friends on tarq, so i don know what to do, as i will only have time to concentrate on one character.

Kendred is so full of himself. I guarentee he wouldn't last of Bria either. I keep hearing the same underlying theme. Us melee people are only good at sneaking up on unsuspecting people in a large group. Or we are good if we can get people indoors. As Ape has figured out, most ranged are not that stupid. If they have no melee skills, they won't go inside. So my point remains. Fix our "out of range" problem. And as Im finding out, fix us Wookiees. We need some armor/toughness/regen... anything would help.

If you guys havn't went ranged at all, I can tell you it is very enlightening. My second character is almost a master marksmen. Its pretty simple really to kite a melee person. Range is obviously the way to go right now for PVP. In any event, I hope they do fix us who have worked hard on our melee characters.

I am glad we have people who are having fun in PVP with Melee. I am not, but I look forward to the day that I can use both my characters effectively.

tka cant do **edit** inless your knocked down swordsmen alone does need work , dizzy rarely keeps me down that long press stand slowly ~.... but this is getting off our whole fight about doc/swordsmen being badass yes without doc id get my ass handed to me if i went to a city to pvp , im starting to get a feeling that most of you who are having problems didnt come from another pvp game

try it sometime n00b test with a friend i know my +10 dizzy resistsisnt making that big of a diffrence i have like 30 or 40 altogether i dunno why i even reply =p morath wouldnt believe thier was air outside if you told him imo =o

I can be effective in PvP as a swordsman/CH, although I won't say anything more because I'll get flamed

Hi, reading this thread has been quite enlightening, and entertaining, lol. Are there any masters on Bloodfin here? I'm not master yet (4-4-2-3) and I have not had much success with PVP, unless they are sorta near me. Forget it if I have to run up and catch them. Lunge doesn't seem to work most of the time with me, or if it does it lasts about a sec, and then they run away again. Forget it if you are talking about more than one person (unless they are nearby and don't scatter). Up close, I still can't beat a commando, with their flames, and BH eyeshot (I think?) is brutal. Maybe I am just not using good tactics? I don't know.

I believe you are seeing the reality of the situation. Hopefully this big patch will help us.

Swordsman can be very effective in PvP...that is the truth. But, if we come against a good BH or TKM, we will have little chance of survival.

Tell me Shimond, how do you beat a TKM that uses their knockdown 2 on you, or a bounty hunter that uses fire knockdown on you? It doesn't matter how much skill you have...if you can't recover from the dizzy/kd, you are powerless. Obviously those groups you came accross were not very skillful, or were not very strong classes, or both.

Yes, a swordsman CAN perform well in PvP, but we are definately gimped. If it weren't for heals/buffs, we would stand no chance fighting as pure melee (With no TKA skills).

I have taken on many people at once before as well. But you want to know why I was able to do so? Because they all sucked!!!

I'm not the type of person to complain about our class instead of trying to get better at it. But even I have to admit that swordsman are gimped in PvP.

Im curious about one thing. You swordsmen who are claiming to be just fine, what species are you and what armor are you wearing?

I just hope they give us some good swords, comparable to the power hammer. I think my biggest problem, is I use a cleaver, simply because it is the look I like. Plus I don't wear armor, for the same reason. Being able to 2 or 3 shot people with a power hammer most likely makes a huge difference. But I'm a bloody swordsman....a power hammer just isn't my style.

i dont like using a hammer either but hey ... i dont like to lose even more =p
