I have also heard that stun is a super nerf to dodge. So for all those rifleman/fencers out there just stun their a$$ and they should have trouble running away. I've tested it and it seems to work. Most likely has the same effect for counterattack but haven't tried it.

yup this is true, intimidate also cuts melee/range defense whiles stun cuts dodge/counter/block..... or was it the other way around? =| sorry my mind gone blank but i am pretty sure it is that way round...

so yes intimidate + stun really is a nice defense strip down. althought i want to see swordman be at the level that they do not need to strip away defense rather bash through it

I believe this to be true.

The benefit of stun over intimidate is that it also lowers your targets defenses making them easier to hit. This is huge in pvp as most ppl have huge defenses.

Stun reduces combat abilities. Damage output, accuracy, and speed i beleive. I think it always reduces some defensive stats also.

The "Damage reduction "range" could also be affected by the accuracy.

Swordsman's low accuracy mods is one of the reason PvP is more difficult for us. Our +130 doesn't compare to TKM at +210. Fencer is what +150 or +180?

When we get hit by any state that affects our accuracy or damage output, were farked, especially accuracy.

for the record....wrong

If you read my post carefully, without force reading over it, you would have seen that i didnt say stun was more of a reduction. You just looked at the numbers.

two handed area 3 does not blind. I have been a swordsmen for about 10 months. I have never ever ever ever seen anything I have attacked become blind with that move. I use it a lot in PvE, all it does is posture down and dizzies. There is no blind chance at all.

It's a well known fact that we swordman do not have a blind move, my fellow swordman. which is why we have this thread to discuss what would be better for us. Yet strange many so call long standing swordman still claims the blind exist, and dont realised we have dizzy.

yet withing the swordman community, there still people who claims that we can blind, probably due to the fact that the discription says so (which has been wrong since beinging of this game AND STILL not corrected) i find the best way to prove this to people who do understand is to wack erm one and show them

How else does one translate...

"for the record...intimdate lowers the enemies damage down to 33%, and stun is 50%."

I said your numbers were wrong, and you come up with some smart remark like that? I wasn;t argueing about whether or not you said stun was more of a reduction or not....I was saying your %s were wrong.

Your numbers were wrong, and yet you tried to push them off on us like they were fact. No force powers were needed to see that.

I see a lot of people talk about intimidate 2. What's the difference between intimidate 1 and 2?

Duration, intimidate 2 last much longer, you can finish a fight without having to reapply intimidate2 again.

And No swordman do not have blind move not even with master brawler on top!!! not even if you prey really hard!!!

Great thread, very informative.

I'm content with having a dizzy and as Noc said, just plowing through any defenses, but if I had to choose, I'd pick stun. Not only because it sounds much more valueable against high end PvE, as well as PvP, but also because it fits thematically, at (the very) least when swinging dah hammah ,).
