Swordsman Archive
Thread: I, for one, am HAPPY with the Bleed nerf H A P P Y, HAPPY
ah......so you enjoy massive changes to gameplay months after release.
there's always one isn't there?
let me guess......sony pays for your account or you are trying to get thunderhearts job?
i think you just like blowing your own horn.
you have no idea how the game was "intended"
the fact is the game is a mess and NOT what the devs intended because they didn't plan it properly.
swordsman wasn't even a finished profession and still isn't.
one of our saving graces has been taking away with nothing to replace it with.
if they wanted to change all these things they should have WAITED and done it all at once, instead of tinkering with what is already broke.
anyway, have a fun day killing gnorts and durnis
i'm not on this fourm for entertainment, i'm here to talk about being a swordsman.
though the fourm can be funny at times....i would hardly call it entertainment.
maybe you should get out more

*with TH voice* Everything will be fix/tweak/balance/review with the combat pass, don't worry and wait.
Or maybe CM just looks more starwarsy than any other profession and everyone should be one, lol.

As TH would say:
Wait for the combat balance.
When is this coming?

i agree with you Mejo...same situation with me too. i can still solo things that i could 2 weeks ago. i rarely used bleeds also. and in pvp the battle is over before a bleed tick takes effect so no point in using them there! dont get me wrong i sitll would love having the bleeds back to normal though. i just think it is stupid for people to quit the profession because of it. but whatver you want to do, its your choice

Look, the only time I really EVER used bleeds were against hard mobs. I mean those with lots of HAM, medium to heavy armor and high resists. I never needed bleeds (as a master with 92 speedand master doc and even before I mastered and got more speed) to kill "normal" mobs with 10-20k HAM. Now, Lord Nyax completely whopped my behind because he used ranged attacks and I am a wookiee so no armor. But when I fight in melee, they rarely even hit me and if they do, I have a very good counter attack rate.
Questions to you that can't solo hard but not "insane" mobs:
- You are buffed right? Doctor buff, and at least food/spice for mind, preferalbe musician and dancer buffs. If not, make sure you are.
- Center of being is on at all time right? It makes a huge difference. I have a macro 'cob' like this: "/center; /pause 2; /macro cob". When my CoB runs out, I clear my combat queue and it comes on again. If I forget it, I get hurt a lot more.
Also if you can't heal yourself at all, or are worse at healing yourself I gather that it'd be a lot harder. Also high level rancors and others have a tendency to slap lots of states and disease/poison/bleeds on you, and this can really REALLY hurt. As a master doctor, they are of little concern - I just remove them.
However, it is worth repeating that I cannot wear armor. My novice TKA character that has 70% ubese can, when buffed, tank three or more gurks without even taking damage (i.e heals faster than damage is given). I can't imagine what I could do if I had the ability to wear armor...
