scout is only nice if you PvP in the wild... which no one does.

extra defenses>Terrain negotiation

i really dont know what you mean really. from "my" own expirance people general PvP on player cities which is build in the wild. of course there is achorhead, which also has the massive hill side and getting there without scouting whiles rifleman camp up there is a sure way to die

Of course i am speaking from my own expirance in no way dose it mean the entire universe

Thanks to everyone for the comment, and thank to stgabe for making this a sticky for all of us

yea most pvp takes place in cities and player cites. player cities are generally fairly falt places tho. and noone is ever in anchor head anymore.

if im in a player city i use burst run. thatll keep me up with the dumb ones, and if they are smart and burst also, then into the nearest building/house i go. they come in they are dead, they stay outside they get bored lol.

nah usually i can get them with the dizzy/kd with hit 3's and lunge before they manage to pull away from me.

Well ipart of the general PvP tips is to take noticed of whats going on which i point it out. if the server you go on generaly fight in npc city then you have think that way and vise versa. Over here in farstar you gotta go out looking for your prey in thier own home. If you ask them politely sometimes they locals comes out and play

Althought we say that the grounds on player cities are fairly flat even a slight differ in terrain will make a different and i know because part of my pvp testing gone through a phase of racing people. It's really surpising how much different it makes. It' certainly enough to expliot others who dont have it. So when you got abit of terrain you the scout becomes your offense and defense in an unotherdox way.

I can write another one of these guide on how the scout can be use given the right eviroment. you can move in first, and pull out first break up a group of chasers, chase people down, and burst run for longer than those who do not have burst run effiecency. the only perks for scout however without terrain IE NPC city ground is the burst run efficiency. However i add to anyone that read this thread. when make a template also take in account of how you will most likely PvP as some of the guys here say thier server nature is differ to mine.

As for running into buildings, running in its own is an art form

well i know this probly differs from what u experience noc, as player cities differ in location throughout the servers, but i actually dont havea hard time with bounty hunters trying to kite me over uneven terrain. i usually get the kd/dizzy down really fast and then its cake. plus if they start getting to far ahead of u, just turn the other direction, which is going to be down since ur running uphill in the first place.

also u can get on ur bike and run if ur not quick enough to put them on the ground. but id say about 80% of ppl who pvp on tarquinas dont have terrain nego. thats including the rising number of bh's and stuff. also if u disease a bh or anyone who kites effectively for that matter they usually cant dmg u fast enough before ur disease takes its toll.

but yes terrain nego is usefull in some situations... but in most, no. if ur on tarquinas id defintely say defense over terrain nego.

Good guide. Some advice though. For fighting other melee, which usually means fencers, I would say having a full suit of stun armor is a must. Also if possible a swordsmen with speed attachments should have a high damage powerhammer for those that are only range professions, and a scythe for melee fighters. The scythe has better accuracy, and a higher min so melee mitigation doesn't effect it as much. With accuracy food, and a scythe a swordsmen should be doing more damage to a fencer then the fencer is doing to the swordsmen. The powerhammer against ranged fighters will do its job. No melee mitigation means it will hit for big numbers, and since they are ranged you will be hitting them most of the time considering there is a accuracy bonus against carbines, and rifles for melees.

Yes stun is a must, but a full suit??not at all. I have fought 2 bh's spamming last ditch and stopping shot and eyeshot on me with their geo stun pistol and won by a long shot.

All i say is needed for facing fencers using stun batons, rifleman using jawa ions, and pistol ppl using geo pistol is 1. stun resist helmet, 2. stun resist chest, 3. imperial personal shield generator.

there u go u are set, even if they intimidate u.

rifleman usually only hit u in the head and chest anyways, and same with fencer.

o and btw citros snow cake really isnt needed if u intimidate. i keep to the synsteak. helps withthe capped rifleman spamming with their extreme dmg t-21.

well my set up is 89% base armour, the chest has 30% stun and the helmet is 90% base with 28% stun. i also carry another helmet with 38% stun and 78% base. couple that with shield generator and syn steak you are well sorted. Just be weary of the damage over time stuff.

Theres loooooads and looooads of general PvP advise and we can go on all day. So it was my decision not to go into deep on that but if we all put in abit of tips here and there on the thread i am sure alot people will read and pick it up

my chest/helm have lower base but higher stun

82% base 40% stun on the chest, 83% base 40% stun on the helm. with a perfect eff slice i can theoretically get an 87% base and 40% stun chest/helm, but i don't really neem em.

Great guide, this should help in PvP. Then again maybe I fail because I am just a Master Swordsman and haven't been able to dabble at all in Fencer and TKA. But that will be solved soon so I should be able to use this guide. Kinda off topic, but how do you rate a post?

BTW, I'd highly recommend citros snowcake in PvP. the accuracy increase is a godsend for those of us using hammers (horrible range mods). And it couldn't hurt for those using scythes.

What about a Wookie Swordsman? I can't get that high resist armor, so is there something I can do, to negate the 1000+ damage that that rifleman is doing to me with his head hits?
