i know idris, as i am on tarq too, but the thing is tuskens dont kite u. Idris is also very aware of the sowrdsman problems and when ever i got training from him we usually talked for a while, most of the time about pvp, and he agreed it was very tough.

the bh must have been a novice, the ch must have been using nunas, and the other ppl were novice marksman, and the tka didnt have knockdown.

it just doesnt seem possible, were u inside??

i can see it happen if ur inside (i took 3 ppl at once in the back room of the cantina in moenia one time, the room were borvo is)

but even then a bh with eyeshot will school u, and when i killed those 3 ppl it was before the kd timer.

also shi, i thought u said u were a master brawler, but i guess not. i know that on tarq when i used lunge (which i often did before i got suppresion fire, and much less so when i got charge shot) they would slide, and id b able to get maybe one hit in, and that as a 2-2-2-2 swordsman. now i have a very hard time believing that u got to to three hits in per a POSTURE CHANGE. now if u did eventually get a bleed on them, their usually screwed, but only if they incap and db u before they die.

Shimond and I are on Starsider. We bot happen to be in the same cmobat unit "Cats".

Belive me when she says she has not problem with PvP *wink*

I have seen her take out a lot more than four on several occasions. I think shes being a little modest here.

There are a lot of little nuances to PvP and if you pay attention you will note them.

I'm primarily a sniper, but I have some melee skills. I kill people all the time with my melee skills. I think the best I have done as far as groups go in melee was 4 at once in Dantooine Imperial base.

Few of us Cats attacked there, we were outnumbered about 3:1. (which is pretty common). The base is close quarters, and I got 2 or 3 melee's charging me with my rifle out. So I ran into a building because I was getting shot to hell along with the melee dammage that was about to come. 4 people followed me in. 1TKA, 1 Swordsman, 1 rifleman (with thier rifle out - go figure) and a smuggler.

I KD2'd, Intimidated and bleed the swordsman first as I saw them as the only one to worry about, then started area attacking. Rifleman died in 1 or 2 hits, probly 1. The rest fell pretty quick except the TKA, which I finished last. I don't know if the swordman got a chance to attack, but if they would have mindhit me, I probly would have gone down.

The RTEF'ing started. I know I killed the smuggler and the TKA and rifleman a few more times inside that building before I was eventually worn down and killed.

I only have 2 tiers in TKA and 2 tiers in Fencer mastered, and when I need to my melee skills come through for me. If I succeed in PvP with light melee skills (And I have beat several pure melee masters with just my melee skills) then I can't agree with all the people that say melee is gimped.

Actually the only professions that scare me in PvP are Swordsmen. Luckly I have never run into one as smart as Shimond =)

I have also PvP'd just useing melee and not my rifle, to see how it is. Frankly I don't like it. I can do it just fine. But I'm use to being a sniper and it's just my playstyle. I think I would die even less if I was pure melee though, but a lot more people would get away from me I think.

Sorry but I don't buy it. Especially now that I have a second character that I'm setting up for pvp. It is just too easy to kite. I can see you take 1 or maybe 2 ranged people in a cantina if they are dumb, but there is no way outside with any decent ranged person. Now if you have Master Brawler then I can see better chances, but your not running around with area3 or lunge 1 and forcing them to kneel so you can lay a couple of mind bleeds on them. Not with anyone decent..

I think the real difference we're noticing here (and arguing over) is player vs player and group vs group.

In player vs player it's easy to kite someone and keep them at whatever range you want them at, if you're smart and know what you're doing.

In group vs group it can be awfully hard to keep track of everything going on and almost impossible to keep everyone at the range you want to keep them at.

I very rarely do pvp. I do gvg all the time.

Yep thats what I thought. I will say though that my new player has opened myeyes to the potential of composite armor. I imagine I would be much tougher to kill, buffed and with 60% composite armor on. You might just have time to actually think. As it stands now Wookiees seem to lose power very fast and I think the extra stats dont help as much as composite.

I did ok buffed with no armor on. I even did ok not buffed with no armor on.

But I am very very very hard to kill in full composite with a psg, buffed and on spice. I had 10 people with pets take several minutes to take me down in Bestine a week or so ago. I think it was an unintimidated ATST that eventually sealed the deal, heh

Sorry, dont believe it. At least make your story a bit more believable. Some parts of reality crept in when you said you very rarely fight in PVP. Of course we all have perceptions of what reality is. The fact is I have almost identical stats to you. I spice, I stack bleeds, and I use posture down when it suites the situation. I make high quality buffs for every stat. You are simply only seeing yourself in battle and forgetting to tell us that you had a group with you. It may have taken 10 people and an AT to beat your group, but don't feed us who have your same stats that line that it was only you. If that is really happening then enjoy your bug. Because that is all it is. It is not your uber intelligence at combat doing that. It just dont work that way..

By putting this crap on here all you are really doing is hurting the swordsman class. If the devs think it is not broke, we will not get what we trully need.

morath by us saying we killed 5 or 6 people to 1 doesnt meen that our class doesnt need fixing and that we are hurting our selves by doing this, we still have that out of range problem that is so annoying that i can be 1 metter from an object and not be able to hit the **edit** target, o ya not sure who said that we need a 25 to 35 meter hit, but that is very stupid. 35 meters is close to 120 feet so your saying that we should be able to hit someone from 120 feet away with a 4- 5 foot sword, not sure what the leangth is, but that would make us just like a ranged class because 120 feet is quite a range

lol the mind bleeds are nasty, i remember fighitng my tkm friend and wounded all of his secorndary mins stats, ontop of incapping him with one bleed, so it took him i think 2 mins to get back up and meditate his bleed off so he can regen his mind.

And Shi you can continue to be a legend in your own mind. I wouldn't really care about all the bragging that much if it didn't impede the ability to fix the class in PVP. That is really what I am taking issue with. You make it sound like we have got the best class when in fact any smart ranged person or average one can clean our clocks. Its not right in my book and I will defend that stance. I spent a lot of Skill Points getting there. Bragging about events only to have the details come out after the fact doesn't do our class any good.

As far as selling out goes. I cared enough about Swordsman to keep it and to fight for it. I started (bought) another account for pvp. If that is selling selling out then to each his own. But impeding the progress that could really help our class is a bigger sellout in my book...

By the way Riflemen whine about being gimped all the time too.

Just like the majority of the Melee people.

I'm just staying it's BS, as I/we PvP all the time from day one, and people that think BH or Commando is the only two PvP classes are just plain stupid.

If Riflemen suck and can't PvP and all melee are broken and gimped in PvP, them myself as a Rifleman/Melee should be the Uber Gimp and incap myself everytime I log in by those accounts.

The fact is since the 75% damage reduction and fix to loop/spam wins. I have not lost a single duel against all classes. Easily over 100 duels since that patch. Even with the LLC and Flamer doing 2.5x's dammage as melee weapons I still do just fine.

It really earks me when people whine/make crap up/cry gimp, just to get some attention.

I have seen every combat class do quite well in PvP and thats the bottom line.

No that is only a fix to adjust for the server lag. I am not for that in "real" terms. What I am for is hitting a moving target. I don't know specifically what that takes. However, as of right now I cannot hit any moving target.
