I have a few Acklay's that I use, my best is 683, No Pup.
I don't use scythes, too expensive. I'm speed capped anyways!

Dumb question, but what do skill tapes drop off of? I have played now for what 9-10 months and have never gotten one as a loot that I remember... must just be what I tend to hunt.

my hammers are 6.1 speed, 414-793. And 5.9 speed, 404-783.
I'm very happy with them lol
Both are without a power up. The minimum damage on them is what rules the most.

i use my scythe on anything that doesn't have super high kinetic resistance. for a few reasons:
1 - the damn thing is almost as strong as my hammers (248 - 438 2.6 spd)
2 - much better accuracy
3 - faster

Scythes have a much better dps than hammers do unless you're speed capped. If you get tapes, which are expensive as hell, then you can use the uberest-damaging-slow-as-hell-ph you can find.

I am 50-50 between scythe and powerhammer...depends all upon what I'm fighting.
Look at vuln on creature - choose weapon.
PvP is almost universally powerhammer though...

Damn, where do the nice 700+ Damage Hammers come from? And are they still possible to attain through crafting? or are they the nice pre-nerf leet quip?

Good acklay bones is how you get 700+ damage, and yes, they still drop.

I use an Acklay power hammer for pvp, although I use my scythe for fencers. For pve, I use 600+ max dmg hammers.

How many skill tapes do you need to max your speed at master??
