Heh.. or not.

1. Jedi can use the force, and with the force they can do about everything, making themselves stronger is easily one I would guess. If not they could make the blade lighter.

2. And most importantly, the blade of a lightsaber is made from plasma or something, thus, it does not weigh anything, while the blade of a 2-handed sword, weights something, maybe up to above 25kg, try wielding two of those, one in each hand... Impossible and unrealistic.

Conequently, again, this is something for the fencers, as they use one handed weapons and there's no reason why they shoulden't be able to wield two at once.

No, it's a fencer thing. Remember, it may be called Swordsman, but it's really "Two-handed melee weapon guy".

No its impossible swordsman is a two handed class so you would have to have 4 arms if you wanted to

Dual Wielding is for 2-H swordsmen, why?

Fencing is mostly a parry/thrust art. Most attacks in fencing are thrusts. Someone using two swords would be using almost entirely slashing attacks. Slashing is a 2-H sword style trait (ie, our curved sword our avatars wield like katanas, mostly, except when we "poke" lairs and such)

Swordsmen should get dual wield, Fencers should get shields (since they are already the defensive class). They could have a form of gungan energy shield (versus ranged) or a standard shield (versus melee)

No dual-wielding for Heavy Swordsmen, as our weapons require two hands on one hilt to wield properly (hence theweapon description of: two-handed sword). It's fine by me if they give it to Fencers and Pistoleers, as their weapons only require one hand to wield properly.

No, but a great huge deathdealer axe would be cool, or a massive broadsword. We are 2handed swordsman = weapon that takes 2 hands to weild NOT a one handed sword in each hand.

I agree with mostly everyone. More fitting of a fencer.

No dual wielding for the heavy Swordsman. Fencer yes, not heavy swordsman. Considering that everything we wield is two handed, unless they implement a four armed race, dual wielding should be impossible

Again i will try and put logic to those who just want the "cool" stuff. Yes it would be nice if us sowrdman actualy get something but not at the price of breaking logic (we all know SWG has enough of that without adding more) so here is some of the mis-assumption people so far have made

Myth 1) A Katana "folding" technique isnt "adding" metal to the sword or force more metal in smaller space. "folding" is a process of beating the impuraty out of the iron in effect making something very close to steal. To have that from fedul time was a great technological achievement. (specaily when european counter part only started cast iron crafting which make a brittle and low duability sword that often are blunt)

Myth 2) A Broadsword weight about 2kg, most use them as "heavy sword" type because it make sense to use it with both hand for more control. following from above broadsword are not actualy that sharp you kill people with it buy using it's wieght to delivery a crushing (with slight slashing) blow and crush the internal organs. That is what "heavy swordman" term refers to, using heavy wieghted sword to damage using it's wieght because it is "heavy".

Myth 3) The assumption of using 2 swords dose not equal to more offense. infact by having two swords you have lessen the power of the attack since your body weight can not flow in both your rists with two weapons stance. 2 weapons advantage is increase of attack angles and being able to better defend whiles attacking. (although yes i do agree with would actual cause more counter attack) The point being is 2 weapon is actualy better defense than one weapon given the right ability. it does NOT make more offensive power. Only record i can remember is the old irish militia using two short blades but when they get vikins long broadsword then given it up to use Two handed Heavy sword. Lastly "yes" you can used Two heavy swords there is no peramter saying you can not but the control will be unusable and the attack may as well be a slap because thats about as much power can swing without it falling off your hands.

Myth 4) to my knowledge (i could be wrong here) only official records of a two weapon japanese style was the Two Tantos, not Kantanas. even if it was Kantana technicly a heavy swordman falls into No-daichi anyways and you certaily can use a two, 2 meters long swords at once without looking silly.

If that dosent shed a light on how silly the idea of a "heavy swordman" using two swords at once is then i give up trying. Yes like you i like to see something cool for us swordman but not like this.... Give us a massive eletric No-daichi or something

No! Give to fencers. It has been said many times we are two-handed swordsman, we wield a weapon that requires two hands to be used effectively.

Gorecki have the devs asked for you to post a poll? It's justthat I remember reading about the fact that dual-wielding was not to be implemented. It was a long time ago during the beta forums though.
