How about a hybrid of both swordsman and fencer proffession. Kind of like bounty hunter how they have to master scout and marksman. Woohoo Dual-Wielder......

Remember the greatest two handed swordsman ever was Musashi and he developed a sword in each hand style called Niten. I think this suits us brilliantly. Also, speaking as a fencer in real life, you never use two swords.

I cant find anywhere in the dictionary that says anything about "two handed" only pertaining to 2 hands on one object, it could mean 2 objects in 2 hands.And as to the heavy swordsman title, why couldnt it just mean how"heavily" armed we are.Why would it hurt the fencer class? They can have something equally as cool to boost what their abilities are. When you add it all together, why would you give a purely offensive ability to a purely defensive profession. As suggested they could use shields to put there block modifers to much better use. Havingbetter damage, and lower defense, thatwould kill them faster.As for us, if we did get duel wield, all the work the devs would have to put into making it happen, i dont think they would just stop short, just make a few weapons we can use, or make us get the certs in brawler. The only benefit of weilding two weapons is that we could do more damage faster, it makes things harder to hit, and harder to counter. So swordsmen would get a boost in dps, for the cost of range and defense. Dont we do that already with the power hammer?

but we should loose out, like if you carry two the attack speed is combined, so with two 1.7atk spd curved swords you would hit every 3.4 ....

but really, this would be a new profession wouldn't it?

Thought about this a while......it does seem more towards fencers but let's be clear, our Swords are more like Samurai swords than anything.....most of them would be light in "REAL" life....therefore allowing us to use two swords. Maybe make it weapons specific? No to Power Hammers, yes to Swords?

Personally, I would rather have more defenses (vs. knockdown so I don't lose a dual to a TKA almost EVERYTIME, vs Stun, vs Dizzy, etc, etc......) and counterattacks.....

But I will take what I can get, so.....

To those who says "We're 2 handed swordsmen, thus we can use 2 swords".. BRRZZZZRR!! WRONG! We are HEAVY Swordsmen, meaning we use HEAVY swords, which again mean we need TWO HANDS to wield ONE weapon.. Thus again, we cannot have two. God... How can some of you people not see that.. It's one of the most obvious things ever..

And in ever other game from the beginning of RPG games, 2 weapon use and 2 handed weapon use has always been two very very different things. First means you wield two one-handed weapons, one in each hand, while the secon means you wield one weapon with two hands.

Has anyone ever actually used a Katana? (curved two handed sword) It ain't light, they're among the strongest swords around, depending how many times they were folded.
