Suggestions,


1. Battlemap, a map SL can open and place waypoints on. When finished all ppl in the squad gets a copy of the plan, unchangeble but enough for a reference. This map may be opened at the whole time during the attack and every player can be viewable so that coordinated strikes can be arranged. Maybe a report command for the players to with this.


2. Allowance for more faction pets. The faction pets are going to down to 1 for each person, at higher lvls in SL more should be allowed


3. Full healing abilities, instead of giving mind heal allow an entertainer, within a camp of course, to heal Fatigue as wellif the squad is beaing led by SL of significant lvl.


4. Allowance for costumised formations, with different bonuses for different postions. as long as the formation stands true.


5. as mentioned earlier HAM cost reduction for all in squad. the boost of morale makes the rifle easier to lift, the sword easier to swing. You get my drift.


6. Makeble of permanent squads, Like in a PA a SL could be chosen to lead the same ppl to battle often. If so they should be able to be forged into a permanent squad, with additional bonuses as long as they are all there. Maybe they have to fight during specific conditions, like 3 times in a row or a specific saving function that disallows every member from trusting another SL leaadership. SL should still be able to lead others as normally. New title in every members name bar with the squad name

when they say 'next' they mean:



  • fix smugglers

  • fix chiefs

  • fix bugs from a random profession as drawn from a hat

  • take a week off by sending out a fake patch that 'increases server stability' to make everyone think they arent taking the week off

  • realize fixes to chief an smugger ended up nerfing those professions by mistake

  • in trying to fix new chief and smugger bugs accidentaly change SL XP so that SL do not have to be grouped to earn XP

  • take an other week off with another fake patch

  • fix SL XP

  • fix chefs and smugglers for real this time

  • fix bugs from another random profession as drawn from a hat

  • prouposusly shut down all servers for an hour, unannounced, just to piss everyone off and then blame the hole thing on a chipmunk that got loose in the building and started chewing on the power cords.

and fianly....



  • send Thunderheart to the SL forum to ask "if the sqaud leader profession is still broken, where is your correspondent report? please collect all your issues and sugguestions and send them to me ASAP, thanks and 'hang in there!' "


at least that what my magic 8-ball tells me... who knows.....?

i would also liek to see formations that give different benefits.....such as skirmish formations for quicker movementbut few combat mod, line formations for increased offense, staggered line for increased offens ein rear rank and defense in front rank, march formation for quick movement with no combat mod.


i also had ideas for Squad Leader to be able to purchase equipment from a DE or Master Artisan for a RADAR JAMMING device, which would allow a master SL to mask his groups radar signatures during PvP combat for a selected amount of time. Say a 5 use jammer, for 15-20 minutes each. Enough to mask signature for a lightning raid.


SL should also be able to split groups up into squads, and use the ctrl-m map feature to instruct orders to every individual, designate WPs, etc. Im sure you have played games such as Ghost Recon and the like, that is the type of thing I am getting at.

Let us look at our greatest ability: /sysgroup. Sad, I know, but it is the best because it allows us to coordinate. A squad acting as one person is extremely powerfull, as I'm shure you all know. After fixing our brake/useless skills, they should implament more skills that allow us to unify our squads.


Some ideas that have been tossed out are the ability to paint a target, the ability to see squad members' waypoints, the ability to creat battlefield plans, and the idea of scout-bots, that give us a picture of what lies outside of our radar range (this last against PCs only, so not to step on the toes of our ranger compadres).


All that and the bunker.

Good to have you Capt.Vem


Here are some of my thoughts:
1. Squad transporters (faster than any mount)
2. Fortifications (as put on this board before)
3. Multipe Command structure in squad with extra bonuses (the more SL the better) ranking to faction rank
4. Platoons (multiple squads)
5. Mobile turrents for SL (or a special weapon)
6. Better combat commands eg. "base of fire" = prone/kneeing get improved weapon speed or
"covering fire" = prone/kneeing get improved to hit ratio - moving improved defense
7. New profession "Platoon Leader" after Master Squad Leader. This would be the prof. were u can put all the good suggestions and ideas that have no space/place in the Squad Leader fixes...
