these are indeed changes that would stick true to the squad-leader-idea (being a benefit for the group) while it doesn't make our profession uber! I like them...

Captain Can you clairify that statement? What exactly do you mean by the devs stated that this is the best we are going to get?
I'm sure he meant that the devs did NOT want to give the community the ability to mind heal... but they threw us a tiny bone with giving CMs the ability to do so but at a large price. As a master Rifleman (aside from master SL), I would agree that giving mind heal to folks would negate our only advantage. I DO support mind REGEN increase for SLs.

I do not think we need a mind heal as much as say mind damage regens faster with an SL in group.
That would make us wanted in groups very much and would actually be something we would be useful for.
Let the CMs take away our mind heal but regen could be our "thing"
1) Mega exp bonus (depend on level of SL)
2) Huge Shuttle Ticket Group discount for members of SL (Depend on level of SL and number of people in his group)
3) Shares Faction points. And I don't mean everyone in group share part of faction points, I mean if you DB someone and you are supposed to get 100 FP, EVERYONE in group get 100 and not fraction of it.
4) Huge Destroy Mission Payout bonus
And here are some "not so easy but would be nice" changes
1) limit number of militia allowed in city to 5 per number of SL of that city to lead the militia. So if you want strong city, you should get several SL as your citizen.
2) bonus to number of Faction pet you can call out when grouped with SL.
I don't understand why Combat Medic would or should be the profession to get Mind Heal. The job of the Combat Medic is to heal Health and Action from a distance, and as a combat bonus they get the EXTREMELY powerful ability to poison and desease. Giving combat medic mind heal is akin to giving Bounty Hunters the ability to revive!
I understand where you're going by suggesting that Squad Leaders could get a mind regen, but I hate to tell you but that jobs already been given away to Musicians. A Master Musician can buff willpower and focus by 100% which means that mind costs are reduced dramatically and mind points will regen at twice their normal speed. Chefs and smugglers also have some foods that buff these stats. Sorry, but the job's taken. ...and, YES, it does mean that Chefs and Musicians can contribute more to a group than can a Squad Leader.
Thunderheart, if you're out there, if you're reading this....PLEASE take note of this. I'm getting SO sick of hearing about how all the professions are being addressed. Yet in 4 months, we have seen NOTHING...not even feedback on our suggestions. And Squad Leader, the profession designed to improve and encourage people to group and bymost accounts should have abilities that can outperform Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Commando, and Combat Medic when it comes to overall contribution to a group...and we are outclassed by the Chefs and Musicians!!
