It is described to raise the chance of, or help with squad leader abilities. We can't even test and compare this since fail rates are so common. Ok yet to see anyone suggest this one. Allow for some specials off mount back. maybe just keep it to the marksman tree, no really high end specials but an aimed shot or a lvl one bleed with a SL as the leader. Will allow for more of a "tactical" hit and run approach.
I really like the bunker ideas as well.
I like the idea of a Squad Leader being able to provide the opportunity to use specials from a mount; would be conducive to more 'cavalry' types of groups and would definitely make us SL's a helluva lot more useful. And please please please lower the ham costs. I basically can't wear any armour if I want to use any SL commands, which means I need to stay the hell out of the action and beup on my mount to be able to get away (try leading a group that's hunting Kungans on Dantooine, with no armour and on foot, just to be able to 'possibly' use /steadyaim or/volleyfire or anything else- no thanks). I like almost all the ideas presented in this thread, and the developers should take notice since the description of a 'Master Squad Leader' in-game is a load of bull at the moment.
