toearly to say, but i can't help but worry. i fear that now that i'll have the passive buffs to manage too the rest of my template will be unused, i really enjoy master doc. currently ham use allows me to do both proffs ballanced.


totally agree that squad leader should only be ONE! and should have to be the group LEADER


but overall, unbelieveable that we have soooo many changes coming down the pipe! cheers boys!

The abilities of the new SL's are where it is at for combat.


Forcing the SL to be the GL was a major pain in the ass when trying to coordinate PvP squads.

Then your PvP people were unorganized, I have been a SL for a long time in this game, and each and every PvP event/fight I have been in people knew who I was and I was given lead right off the back. I have many other SLs on my server that never had this problem.


If you dont want to be the Leader of the Squad, drop the profession.







Let your pride bind your options. I'm not going to stop someone beating themselves up. I might just grab a beer here and watch ya.

You are going to find you are in a very, very small minority here buddy. Squad Leaders lead. There should only be one in a group, and that one should have to be the leader of the group. A Squad Leader should be the one in control of who is in his group for example. If he is not lead, he can not do that. A squad Leader should be able to kick someone from his group. If he is not the group lead, he can not do that. It is wrong and should be fixed.


A squad leader that can not control his group os not a leader. If they are not a leader they are a squad. As a squad is a group, they can not even be that..they are nothing without being the leader.

I agree with Alien about GTN. They kept Burst Run efficiency (+50 @ Mobility 4) but it seems GTN is replaced with "Charge" and the revamp of "Form Up". Seems all the passive grouping bonuses we gave as "group leader" are now skills we have to launch. Which will prove interesting to our tactics since only ONE group buff can be in play at a time.


As for the mass /respec of people to our noble profession, they'll get a rude awakening when they see how much mind and action we burn when administer our skills. Everyone is up and arms on the forums over "second chance". With the power of that ability all I'm thinking of is how much drain I take when using "retreat" now. Not too mention the new "retreat" drains the mind and action pools of "all group members" to ZERO and have a negative factor applied to their regeneration speed for the duration of the buff. Most likely we'll be seeing a few peeps, as in the past, pulling in SL skills as a terciary profession to their template in order to give a few extra pts to their defenses or accuracy.


As for us not being the "leader" to make our abilities work. The last thing I need is some noob SL spamming system messages when I'm trying to keep my team alive. As someone posted earlier "...too many cooks". 1 SL per group nuff said. This will keep peeps from screaming about the potential uber 8 SL group reeking havoc across the servers attacking poor lil Jedi. Heck on Sunrunner when I'm pulling for teams to base raid I'm always screaming for a second MSL. All i get are peeps with NOV SL just for "base busting purposes".


Just wish TC would stay up for more than 5 mins so I can work on my toon to SL. Like a dork I forgot my TC5 toon was wiped out after the CU was done testing. Im so busy on Sunrunner I never have time for my TC toon. Then again, I've never really had a reason to go there since there was neverANYTHING for me to test as being a MSL; just going there tocheck on overall bugs.

I don't mind the love,but I do hate that we'll end up being the new profession that everyone rushes to(like BH's during the respec period,being mobbed by newbie m-bh's,or in our case m-sl's, with questions that anyone with the Master Title should know).

I got an excuse I came from the crafting side
my only observation is; Pistols is too easy of a way to gain experience with ( course helps to have a good pistol). Now that i got the hang of sys and the few comands I can use (mostly ralley and Steady aim). This has been a good change over for me and alot of fun. I think only thing I am concerned about the patch is the fact we don't needto be leader to do abilities. To me that was kind of the core of what the Squad Leader was.

My guild can't wait cause then we'll be knockin on Faction bases door (mostly PvE group).

Only challange I have is balancing the cl people I invite in my group at the grinding grounds on Farstar. I tend to allow just about anyone into the group, low to high, as long as they want tohunt. Some players are fussy about it.

In many PvP groups, the group leader position is filled by someone willing to do the b*tch work of adding new people.


The person who actually runs PvP ops is the one in charge. TKVM.
