SL/Musician, not the profession mix I would have thought of, but the reasoning is sound. Very cool. :-)
I mixed those two long ago when I started, always had a blast dropping a camp and pulling out an instrument during a hunts down time. Missed Musician so much, I recently started an alt with novice Musician.

More and more are comming out! SLs have a latent strand for musicianship... And people still claim that we don't need a Bard profession... *grin*

I did the trumpet IRL for about 8 years. Does that count? :-)

Maybe we need to give bonuses to entertainers? Squad Leader by Day, Band Leader by Evening.

Carefull Sylow, they just might do that, you never know. Though we'd probably have to get One-Handed weapon xp to use the bagpipe.

Ah, then it's not too bad. I expected politician or tailor XP... anyways, leading the charge with a bagpipe in hand (so, SLs must be able to play while running) instead of a carbine would sure be nice... area intimidate special, anybody? *grin*

Careful, don't be talking the "B" word over in the Entertainer forums. That's a bad word. What I would like to see is simply some short term buffs that could be applied in camps, out of combat. I think it is important to keep the entertainer professions non-combat, but it would sure be nice if we had some other purpose in the game other than theInspitation buff. Camp buffs would be a nice way to add some combat value to my Music profession.
Like I said, Musician is my sit back and relax profession where I can just run around and meet people. SL is my combat profession. I actually use SL as more of a support role, which is kind of backwards, but when you think about it, it makes sense. It isn't a super combat profession in itself, but we help other people become better at combat. We make a good group better.
I've found the Marksman 0404 to be enough to allow me to wield a pistol effectivelyin combat, but if you really want to lead people into combat, I would suggest another elite combat profession, like Pistol.

In the process on the Farstar server(euro rpg). just getting the exp for nov squad leader, and will be doing the same on Flurry. Both guilds I am in hunt alot so I feel it would be far useful then when I was a MAS( I was disapointed with what happened with CU) . I'm still kinda amused/ confused as to why Pistol exp plays a part in SL, I'd have assumed carbines myself. but hey. Plans are full master SL some combat of what I can get, with a tree or two of ranger ( if my skill points let me).
Question; is it entirely important I go fair in pistols for marksmen to Level out squad leader? or Can I just leave it at box 1. and just keep using my other weapons. I have found a flaw in their combat system which enables me to level with out the full benefits of other combat trees. I just need one box
hehe the pre-CU never allowed this trick ether
no hacking or Jedi mind tricks involved.
Just using the CU against them. there is alot of near combat tricks the new CU is allowing that the pre CU didn't (old style was more regualted).
Also, besides bounty hunter, what's another good prof match?
