Thread: new SL's??
Course Id just be happy with a special rank sash for everyone that reaches MSL. that way even if your wearing a diffrent tag everyone will still what you are and what you do (cause lets face it comisar just sounds cooler than msl)![]()
It's "Commissar", and it's the very reason why i don't manage to bear my master squad leader title. Anyways, take an intimidator, E5 or dawnsorrow into your hands and everything is clear, too, no need for a sash... ![]()
Also to you, welcome on the team. ![]()

Scout, I'll be sure to keep a running tab of Reb SL's on Ahazi and target them. Maybe a battlefield bounty. Whoever screen-caps with record of killing one of you, I'll give a little reward. :-P
But good on training them, bud. For a while, Aurek and I were the only SL's I ever really saw in battle, and we're both Imp. A couple of others came out with us for a while to be SL's, but then I never saw them again after a battle or two. So good to see you guys out there, even if it means more of a pain for me. More fun that way.
And welcome to other SL's just joining us. Game-statistic wise, its maybe not the most glamorous profession, but I sure as heck love it and I know others do too. Every time I think of changing to something else, even with the respecs going on before, I steered clear.
I prefer the Field Commander rank myself, or Strategist or Tactician. Though, would be cool if we had a better master tag. General would be too lofty, but we go from 4 cool-sounding ranks to a simple and boring 'Master Squad Leader'.
Im thinking "Field Marshal"
Wow i just dropped it cuz of skool and now reading this thinking of going back.......i wish they gave us more toons to work with.......oh well i dunno i gotta think but dang u ppl keep pulling me back in lol guess im coming back Squad Leader needs an uber fix and is preety broken but I love it
He might be back and you dont know how many MSL I know ...
Yay, more targets! :-D
We should set up a non-FS skirmish. Designate a spot, maybe drop a small base to make it interesting.
I am a new SL. I played SWG waaaay back when and quit because it did not hold my interest. Yes, I'm one of those people that really enjoy combat within the CU. Seems much more interesting, but...that is a different topic.
I came back and wanted to pick up Musician again. I have fun just dorking around going from town to town. I picked up some melee skills and actually got Master Brawler/Master Pike, but then I realized that if I kept with Music I could only get to CL54. That would be bad for someone with tank professions. Soooo, I picked up Smuggler and Pistol for awhileand liked the idea of crowd control, but again saw myself as being limited with the skill points I had left after Musician. I'd really want both Smuggler and Pistol to play the crowd control role. Then I started taking a look at SL. It made sense for me because I only hunt if I am hunting with a group of guildies. Otherwise, I am playing music. The other thing I like about SL is the camping line of Scout allows me to throw up camps and play music.
I plan on Master Musician/Master SL/Marksman 0404. So if you see a Musician out hunting in a group on Shadowfire, it's probably me.
Since I normally hunt with guildies, most of which have been playing for a long time, I usually do not have to do too much "leading" and mostly just enjoy helping them fight better with the bonuses I supply. Although I did have one case where each of us in a group got the same assassin quest and when we headed out, everyone ran to their own waypoint. I eventually got everyone back together to work through the targets as a group rather than taking them on one-on-one. I think the trick is to be subtle about it and not too abrasive. After all, people want to enjoy playing a game, not have someone bark orders at them.
