Why are they moving anyone know? Bigger offices? Smaller offices
? hmm?
I'm to busy gathering these resources for my armorsmith so I can live as long as the rest of the squad I lead togive a long speech on why what happened is wrong. On a side note Irott did those said mafia guys kill the horse to use it to place under the devs sheets?

As some of you already know... the Devs are moving their office.
When they get all moved after the weekend I will be able to give you the devs solution.

It is a game, a game I'm paying hard earned cash for. I tell ya what, EQ 2 is starting to look sweet. Good thing I love the players in this game. And TH, too.
It's the longest SL thread ever. How could I not post?

You do know SWG and EQ2 are both SOE babies right? I bet you Q3P0 went to the EQ2 team

Man, you guys are gettin carried away! Lol. Remember, it's a video game. If you get suspended, it's prolly good for you to take some time off of it anyways.
. The guy was doin what he was told to do. Dont get mad at him for that, it's not his fault. Try being a lil more rational. I can see if the account was banned and a character deleted, then there would be a reason to fight.
On the other hand, I also believe that the problem of shouting these commands could be easily fixed. I'm not sure if it would be easy to write this into the game, but instead of making it a /shout command, make it like a special group command. I mean SL's commands only work when grouped, so, make it like a group chat thing, but different. Like it would show up as pink writing or red writing or green, or some other color that would be SL group commands. It would not be spatial. I think this would work really well. Then the SL's can spam all they want and the other players won't be affected. Everyone's happy
P.S- I dunno if anyone already suggested this so cut me some slack/

I'm not a SL and, in fact, I don't even pvp. (I'm an armorsmith) I was just bored and flicking through some of the professions forums and happened upon this 9 page thread of true frustration.Having finally read through the entire thing over the course of several hours and looking at all the screenshots with scrutiny, my overall opinion of thissituation, for what its worth, is that this player should NOT have been suspended. It is my belief that the customer service representatives that have examined this casewould agreethat the actions taken by CSR Kiethr were excessive and unwarranted. However, in order to remain a proper authoritative body, they cannot and will not go back on theirmandate in this instance.
I am concerned about a few other things as well. It has become evident by now (I hope) that SL combat commands should be spammable just like the combat commands of any other combat profession. Because these SL commands have spatial messages attached, the policy regarding SL combat spam should be changed toALLOW this sort of spatial spamas an exception to whatever spam-prohibition CS wants to impose upon the public channels. This is the only acceptable policy shift until the developers are done moving their offices (or whatever they're doing)and have the few days it will take to patch out the spatial chat in these commands. Or they can respond with an acceptable interval for SL commands.
Also - It has come to my understanding that this sort of SL spamming is done all the time on Bloodfin and I've never heard of anyone getting banned/suspended/warned for it. What's more, this is actually the ONLY time I've ever heard of someone gettingsuspendedfor spamming anything. Either I just don't have my good ear to the ground or this is a truly rare instance in which a CSR got trigger happy.
To all of the SOE employees reading - We are your clients. We are always right. Keep us pleased orwe willfire you!!!
To all the people on Radiant reading -I wouldthink aboutaskingSOE to add a few processors to your server becauseaccording to CS,a single spamming SL can cause client crashes for you.

BahBoo, ty for your input on this thread, and TY for not looking a one little line or drawing your own conclusions as a futile attempt to justify the CSR's actions.
You truely are an individual capable of analyzing info and assessing it approriately, for that I /salute you.
However, we are still waiting on an answer to this issue. Wheter offices are being moved or not is not the player bases problem, it is SOE's. I do not know when the suspension will end or if it will, but I can assure the SL community that I will not rest until the CSR's can answer the one simple question.
What is appropriate gameplay for a SL on any planet, in any city, at any time, as it relates to ,the frequency in which the professions "specials" can be used?
This is a valid concern for a professions playerbase. The CSR"s have banneda paying customer for playing the profession, nothing more, nothing less. We are entitled to an answer as to what we can do, as a profession, in regards to our gameplay and gamestyle to make sure that this does not happen again.
All I want to do is play my profession in realative peace and without fear from the CSR's in regards to warnings, bannings, and suspenisions.
As far as the infrequency that this occurs, well that is great and I am happy for all the other SL's. However ONE time is ONE time too many for something like this to occur, bottom line.

Hello folks,
No one has been banned. The difference between banning and suspension is that if you are banned, your account is forfeit and you will not be able to play it again. A suspension is a temporary lock out of your account ranging from three to ten days.
While I cannot give details about an account to anyone other than the account owner, I can tell you what kinds of actions will cause an account to be suspended in these circumstances.
We all understand how the Squad Leader profession works and that the commands are done via public channels. A situation becomes disruption when commands are being spammed in heavily populated areas. If a CSR asks you to please move to a less populated area or to notexecute the commands so frequently, you are expected to comply. An example of what is too frequent would be over 400 commands in a three minute time frame. If you think something may be construed as excessive, then it most likely is excessive and all we ask is for everyone to be considerate of others and not cause a disruption. If you refuse to comply with a CSR, you do risk having action taken against your account, ranging from a warning all the way up to account suspension or eventermination if the violation is serious enough.
So, with all of that said, please respect others and try to avoid doing something that is going to generate harassment tickets against you and possibly get you in trouble.

ok, i probably didnt catch this topic in time to voice any type of openion that would count in any way shape or form, but since im about to head to bed, and am planning on doing the SL profession starting tomarrow lemme jsut say this.
Bruce,
i can see why CSR's would want to controle certain spammage in a game like SWG, but that is why there is a /ignore command. To create a profession that Defaults to a /shout channle while doing its skills, then turning around and saying "dont do this in this area, or that area" basicaly Limits when/were that profession can even be used. And by doing this you not only put a serious crimp on the people that are trying to Be that profession. You are also telling the people that are that professions Enimies exactialy Were to attack. Which would be exactly in those ares you Dont want them spamming in.
Example: A Rebel group meets a Imp group out in the middle of nowere. TKA's start to fight. Now... 99.9% of all TKA's will either spamm their knockdown/dizzy moves, OR click on a looping macro key that does the same thing.. just minus the frantic clicking. Now.. the Rebel's were expecting this, so they brought along a SL. Now, to keep his friends from being stuck on their backs the entire fight, the SL starts to either franticaly click on his Profession's skills. OR hits a looping macro of his own. But were the TKA's have no system chat spam to go along with their attacks, the SL suddenly is filling up everyones chat screen with shouts that realy shouldnt have even been put into a default channle to begin with. Now. the SL has given teh REbels a advantage and they fend off the imp's and basicaly win the encounter.
Now... here's a example with Your rules applied.
Example 2: Same senario... 1 group of Reb's with a SL and 1 group of Imps withough, but this time the battle happens right in the middle of Coronet. Everything up untill the point of the TKA's each spamming their macro's happens just as it did in the middle of nowere, BUT this time, instead of the SL doing his job and useing his skills. he's now forced to NOT use them and watch helplessly as his rebel friends, and ultimatly himself are killed because he was scared of being banned/suspended by a CSR for doing his job.
see the problem?
You cant just tell people that its alright to do something in one area, but not ok to do the exact same thing in another area in a game with PVP as this one has. All your doing is giving1 side or another an unfair advantage, and quite literaly Threatening your own customers.
The Game has a /ignore feature for a reason. Let the players use it. Either that or slip into a future patch a edit to all of the SL command skills that defaults to GROUP instead of /shout.
*note* this is all based on if nothing has changed since the origional post was done... as its 8am here and time for bed, i didnt have time to read the entire post >.<

This is unacceptable.
Someone said that "It's like if your yelling at your boss, your gonna get fired?"
We are paying to play this game, they are not paying us.
I just hope that whoever got banned gets compensated, because they just lost their money because...
The game they are playing is buggy..
They used their abilities to help their group...
It caused lag and annoyance to other players.
I mean with afk spammers everywhere, and spamming robots, you think this kind of thing would never happen.
Sounds like its harder to find a reason to keep paying for this game, doesnt it?
