Fernas..3k is a reasonable price. Don't sweat it. But don't let someone dictate prices to you. This is NOT a niceguy business. But ya did good. You made the deal, you made some cash.
And bravo for denying service to those shmucks.

Being a newbie smuggler, working on slicing and whatnot in coronet...lovely job...A smuggler, new to the game like myself was starting crap, I dont quite remember what he did, but it got into name calling, and eventually dueling...he challenged me to a duel and right before accepting I pulled out a GSP and shouted the attack command and Trino (the other smuggler) was engulfed in a cloud of fur and claws...it was humorous then...shortly after that, I saw trino as a CH...I think he's a smuggler now though.

Due to tech issues, getting vendors stockedand getting my chef business stable, I haven't been able to slice or hang out much. But I now carry enough toolsfor a night's worthof slicing. And I find thatIam running into more people who RP with me. For example, my bio has the following:
The first thing you need to know about me is ... nothing.The next thing you need to remember about me is ...nothing.I don't know you and you don't know me. In fact we never met, so keep you eyes off me and keep walking.
I also don't know anything about illegal activities and I certainly don't know anything aboutslicing. Even if I did, how would I ever know that the really great slicers charge: [pricescale goes in here].
I just modified that a bit, but that's the main text. Next are general conversations I have ...
Before a slice I find people saying,"Oh I know you know nothing about it but could you take a peek at my weapon?" To which I usually reply, "Hmmm? You need a weapons inspection. I hear those surface anomalies wreak havoc on performance. I'll take a look" After a slice, I find people saying things like, "Thanks for your time and, oh,we never met ;-)"

Am in a newish player town, had just got Fence and had just set up a spice vendor.
Pirron is mayor is a great guy but RPs a 'Just Say No' policy on drugs.
(just RPs it - it's his vendor that sells my spices...)
Was handing out some free samples to people to drum up some trade and had just managed to persuade a new medic that some Gabaki was just what she needed to cut down on the mind cost from healing wounds. Which it does. Honest me.
I had said there would be a couple of minutes of downer after the hight and that she should avoid using the medic stuff until it wore off, but had not said anything else about it.
The mayor rolled up, said hello, thanked everyone who was hanging about for helping a newcomer settle in, and asked me if I had been peddling drugs to his new resident.
I said no.
She puked all over him.

Had a noob walk up to me the other night and insist i slice her weapon and make sure it was a damage slice. Once i explained how it all worked to her satisfaction (about 4 minutes) she hands me a survival knife.

This isnt really a funny story just something i thought was different. i had just loaded into the coronet starport and i saw a guy yelling that he need a master smuggler and was going to pay 40k for a slice.so i figure what the heck i might as well so i send him a tell saying i can do it and that i'm a master smuggler.He says ok i'm in front of the starport.I find him and expect to be slicing a de-10 or a acklay stun baton or somethign of the sort.He trades me a DxR6 rifle with 6.3 speed and 123-259 stats.I sliced it for 22% damage. Like i said not funny just surprising.I guess some people just have to much money

My storiy isnt as funny, stil lfunny but just proves that u should read the manual(even if it is really old now) before starting the game:
I was out hunting cant remember what but it was fairly easy had just started my new template from scratch(bout the third time i had done this) when a noob came by and asked if he could come with me and hunt i said yes kindly and along the way he was asking typical noob questions liek any noob that finds a sucker that fools for his noobness. Any way he was gaining a fair bit of xp when he hit his lvl.
i said congrats and stuff and about 5 mins later when we ahd got to out next mission he says:
How come i havent got any stronger it said i lvled i dont even have he new attack it says i should have.
I kindly explain to him that you have to go to a trainer and train in that skill. he then asks me if i knew the skill i say no but there is 1 in coronet.
He then goes off and i have stopped hunting and gone home to grind some crafting xp when i get this tell (wonder who from) asking me to give him some money he hasnt got enough to get the lvl. i tip him 5k through generosity and leave him be. next i know i get like 5 tells off ppl saying i was told off a friend u were giving out free money i reply nicely to all of them that i only gave him the money and havent got enough for any1 else. As you can guess they all get the hump and start insulting me. in the end i have to do the sad thing: /add ignore (arsehole)

A few weeks go by, and I'm playing music in the Eisley cantina, as I often am, when some guy from Mos LOK comes in, harassing one of the dancers, and challenging her to fight him. I'm carrying the "Apprentice Musician" tag. No masters at this point, but also have some TK skill. I check him out, no badges to speak of, unbuffed, unarmoured, and harassing my friend. Also a member of the same guild as the guy who killed me earlier.
I decide that someone has to take out the trash, and challenge him to fight me, instead of the dancer. He's a Marksman of some variety, she's a dancer with no combat skills I can see.
He accepts my invitation to duel, and the next few second go something like this:

He's now incapped on the floor.
Me: That'll teach you to treat Entertainers, and women with more respect.

That was my first pvp kill, and I got a lot of respect from the other ents in the cantina at the time. :-)
The guy cloned, came back, but with his buffed, armoured, TKM guildmate, asking me why I killed his friend.
Me: He was being an offensive ass.
NewGuy: Well fight me then. /duel
Me: You're fully buffed, and armoured. It's also 2-on-1. I'm not an idiot. Leave me alone.
1stGuy: What's the matter Advik, scared?
Me: No, I just know when there's a lose-lose situation in front of me. Unlike you.
NG: Well come outside and fight me.
Me: Come back when your buffs have gone. I'm busy.
He didn't seem to like that idea. He had 3 more of his buddies waiting outside too.
I went back to my music, and ignored him. Got plenty of /cheers from everyone inside though. :-)
It was nice to give that guild some payback after spoiling my special day.
