So you know, curb testers know nothing about feign death as it stands. I've pushed for information from the beginning and haven't received a shred. We had a problem on a global scale that had to be resolved. This was a simpler change than reworking the whole skill. The reworking should and hopefully is taking place in the CURB. I don't like it anymore than you folks do but that's where I am going to spend my energy in making this a better game.

Totally understand the PVP part. However, using it in PVE should still be available as is.

The intention is that you can be deathblowedwhile feign-death(ed). If not this is essentially an invuln button for PvP.
This has been a long-standing bug that was fixed because of the impending GCW changes.
Well I don't have smuggler....but this is the most ignorant change I've ever seen. What perpose does this skill serve? It does absolutly nothing now. If thiswas a bug ...what was the intention of the skill...a free deathblow for your oponent? I think you're calling it a "Bug" to cover up a bad design change personaly.
This stems from the cry baby BH forums cause a few n00blet Jedi can Feign, admit the truth...it will set you free.

Yet this "fix" leaves us with yet another skillbox that doesn't do jack.
Sorry Caylin, as already mentioned there were a number of other routes that they could have gone down and plenty of time to bring up and discuss a change to the skill so it works for all parties instead of giving it to us in the middle of an already big patch with nothing but a one liner and a smirk. Just another kick in the teeth the way i see it... and I was just getting back to wanting to play my smuggler toon, too.

Ok, the way I see it.....
PvE: That change actually help. 1- If you go FD and a mob incap you, the mob should not aggro again when you get up, because while the FD didn'T break agro, being incapped do. Question tho: will DBing mobs incap and DB you, or just incapp and leave, believing you dead?
PvP: With that clarification from JustG, they just made the skill completly worthless in any PvP situation. Lucky Smugglers, we have the ONLY combat skill of all profession that is intentionally made non usable in PvP. I agree something HAD to change, but I was hoping for a more...fair solution, maybe with the CU. I hope we get something evetually that will allow Smugglers to PvP without being butchered.
Except some mobs do DB you when you get incap'd... making FD in PvE useless as well.
Yeah I guess that since now we can be DBed when Feigned the mob won't be fooled and will DB eh?
So basically FD is now only useful in a case where you are hunting mobs that don't DB. That's reducing a LOT the usefullness of the skill.

IF you were feigning you could never be incapped. Now you can =)
The more we ask, the less we get the answers ? Can u please clarify in what kind of way do smugglers will loose one of the both interesting and fun skills we had ?
Why don't u keep this skill as it was and made it only available to Master Smugglers to avoid exploit, grieffing or else ? Or simply unavailable to Jedis ?
Don't you think we had proove our patience, since the long time you promise our revamp (still no delivery date ? ouch...) ?
And now, the only answer u give us is a poor smiley when we're asking you to clarify devs whereabouts and our loving profession (wich is one of the basment of Stars Wars (Galaxies) ?
Are u making fun of us ? I do really believe it. If don't, let's clarify the situation.
If yes, there's no doubt that the majority of smugglers will surrend. At least, and until we get a clear answer from u, I suggest smugglers do not slice anymore.
You sincerely miss some kind of respect...

My God,
I'd never thought I'd say this, but after this...I think I may drop this profession out of sheer frustration. Maybe I'll just go fully focus on FS and Jedi, they seem to get all the love. This is unbelievable. The devs say this is not the way the skill is supposed to work, I think I'm going to call the BS flag on that.
What is the use of FD now, what good is it? Like some fellow smugglers said, they should just call the special /fetalposition.
How much more can they take from the profession; how much less can they give?
I just don't know if I can tolerate it anymore. This is just unbelievable.

I see what you're saying Caylin, but we do keep regrouping and we do keep losing. CURB or not, it changes nothing in the track record of how this profession has been treated. I know you know this, just stating it for everyone else.
We've waited for the revamp only to wait for the CURB.
Now it's wait for the CURB, which is starting to get as delayed as the revamp, but while you're waiting take it up the XXX a little more.
Sorry, but it really isn't acceptable.
This wasn't our problem. It was a problem created by the use of our skills by another profession. Maybe they should have looked at those professions instead of ours for a change.

To bad they have only ever done 1 thing to make our lives easier....... Now I might as well give up that line of Smuggler also.......(had to give up spices because they are worthless)
Gee, every single time we have something good happen to us, we repeatedly get hit with nerf bats......So far I believe we have been nerfed the most..... And we were never THAT good at PvP to begain with......FD was our only bright side!

Great idea Caylin, thats the right attitude to let the Dev's know they can walk all over us whenever they like with no resistance.
My opinion may be different if they devs had done anything good for us that might actually outweigh the nerfs, but they havn't.

At least now we know why the fp cap got lifted... they were hoping we'd be too overjoyed to notice this.
