Ok, the way I see it.....

PvE: That change actually help. 1- If you go FD and a mob incap you, the mob should not aggro again when you get up, because while the FD didn'T break agro, being incapped do. Question tho: will DBing mobs incap and DB you, or just incapp and leave, believing you dead?

PvP: With that clarification from JustG, they just made the skill completly worthless in any PvP situation. Lucky Smugglers, we have the ONLY combat skill of all profession that is intentionally made non usable in PvP. I agree something HAD to change, but I was hoping for a more...fair solution, maybe with the CU. I hope we get something evetually that will allow Smugglers to PvP without being butchered.

Except some mobs do DB you when you get incap'd... making FD in PvE useless as well.

Yup, chance of animal DB's. PvE area of attacks actually incapping us... so on, so forth.

Yes, but this makes it useless in PvE since we'll get incapped three times by bloodthirsty mobs....

There are many many suggestions that would have solved all this that were a lot better...why choose this?

Something had to be done. Let's fall back, reorganize and focus on the CURB and push for the fundamental change the skill deserves.

Caylin, with all due respect, thats a whole lot easier for you to say. you are privy to the corr forums and the CURB. And in addition to that, you say focus on the CURB. but how far away is that? 3 months? 6? 9? I agree something had to be done, but we are getting the shaft here because of jedi who misuse the skill. It wasnt even an issue until jedi started using it to avoid being DB by a bounty hunter

Unless they believe you are dead...

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

The point of FD against a PVE mob is to avoid death. If what you're fighting DOES NOT DB, you don't have to worry about using feign death! If what you're fighting DOES DB, now when you feign death with this change, you can get incapped and still get DBd. What's the point of FD again lol.

actually this statment is not true. Taunt doesn't work in PvP and that is a combat skill.

Add to those /threatenshot and /warningshot.

This has been a long-standing bug that was fixed because of the impending GCW changes.

Yep, just killed our skill!

Now we can be argoed from 200m away by a PvE mob AND its now worthless in PvP.

Smuggler peoples,

This was a fix for bug that was/is happening. My apologies for the one-liner but it is a bit busy around here and I was trying to get you the information and juggle other things at the same time. At any rate, right now (on live) you can not be incapacitated while feigning. This is not as designed. We fixed this so that a person can be incapacitated while feigning.

why fix something nobody was complaining about?

lay off the smugglers and nerf those riflemen or god forbid the JEDI?

And add in that they are a novice profession skill while you're at it.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

Nothing anywhere ever said it will work this way. Creatures and NPC's will not DB you while you are FD.
The intention is that you can be deathblowed while feign-death(ed). If not this is essentially an invuln button for PvP.
Why would somebody kill you (deathblow) if you're already dead (feign death)? The change is actually such that "feign death" is more like a "feign incapacitation" -- with all the inherent penalties. Useless PvP, and only useful PvE against non-deathblow mobs.

HOLY COW, way to hit Smugglers when they're down (pun intended)....this is exceptionally lame.

Something had to be done, but I see no reason to hurt Smugglers like this. It's a travesty, and an extremely poor choice to have made.

You have successfully change the invuln button to a "you die" button. Congrats, Devs - it's a choice, but a ridiculous one.

SMUGGLERS - you have my sympathies. I feel really sorry that you're treated like this in this game.

That does it. I'm done.

Between the nerfs and the "revamp is coming" promises I've had it.

I would have been a smuggler for 2 years in July. I just can't wait or take it anymore.
