And I will freely admit that I know this from doing first-hand testing BEFORE it was confirmed as an exploit. Not saying that I was right to do it, but I did test it.
I am not feigning ignorance, as I have never heard of this particular exploit until reading about it here...
Its that it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out how it works...
Its the same close-minded mentality thinking that over 35 percent damage slices AREN'T possible, is the same as the people that thought the world was flat. Because you have never seen it, means it can't happen (akin to an osterich putting his head in the sand)...
The fact is this: This game is inherently FLAWED, and things do happen. Maybe the intention to have a cap on damage slices at 35 percent is there, however, like many many other things in this game, it doesn't work. Maybe the 35 percent cap IS there, however, once in a blue moon (such the butterfly droneon Correlia flapping his wingscreates a sandstorm on Tatoiinne that causes it to rain in Talus while the smuggler slices the T21), an over35 percent damage slice happens. Call it exceptional. Call it legendary. But don't call someone an exploiter whenYOU don't have all the facts...Thats just beingignorant, and there is enough of that around here without people adding to it

DOZENS of Smugglers who have earned my respect have sliced THOUSANDS...if not TENS of THOUSANDS of weapons, and we all came to the same conclusion. 35% is the highest we'll see.
Then some holo-grinder is going to come here and say, "Well, this is how it is because I said so.", yet not produce any sort of evidence in his favor.

If you notice, I have two characters (actually three, but only two are listed)....
My mainhas been aMaster Smuggler three times since launch...
My first alt, the hologrinder (done a total of 6 profs...in a year) is STILL a Master Smuggler, even though I mastered that 4 months ago...I had to drop a couple of the boxes to go Master Ranger and keep some medic and other skills, but I immediately picked it back up
My second alt is a Master Smuggler/Pistoleer, and thats all it has ever been...For the last 6 months...
I know the smuggler profession. Inside and out. Probably better than most.
I have said it once, I will say it again: If you dont have the facts, then dont express an opinion...It only makes you look even more ignorant than you already appear to be.

Prove to me that a 35 percent damage slice is the highest you will see...Show me concrete, bulletproof evidence that it CAN NOT be done
And I am talking about a legitimate +35, not an exploited +35

At this point I'm not even gonna try to change your mind on this.. you wanna believe it go ahead.. but in my 10 months of slicing I have never-ever gotten higher than 35% on a weapon and I do ALOT of slicing.. Therefore for myself I have concluded thats the highest I will see.

Look at it like this...
I have killed probably....over 3500nightsisters (and thats beingconservative) as Dathomir is my favorite grinding/hunting grounds...I have killed an untold number of rancors...All I hunt, is primarily "big game"....Never once have I looted an exceptional anything. Never once have I looted an uber AA or CA...Does that mean it doesnt exist? No, it just means I am an unlucky **edit** when it comes to looting.
Same could apply to Smuggler
