Alright you guys are gonna love this one. So, I log on today, and while I was loading in I appearently received some /tells from someone I used to know. Turned out to be kind of a jackass so I avoided him for a while, not long enough though, it seems. Anywho, I log on and I see a few different tells from "A".
A - Hey, can you belive some guy was charging 50k for a set of slices?
A - I told him that he was crazy and that you slice for free.
A - You may be receiving some tells.
Being the first thing I see when I log on, you can imagine my surprise.
ME - What? You did what? You gave him my name?
A - Yeah. First and last, for reference.
ME -Why the hell would you do that? And why do I care, the fool can charge all he wants. It's not my problem, and it's not yours if you don't want to be.
**slight pause**
ME - Wait a minute, I don't slice for free!
A - I know, but I thought it would drive the point home...
ME - What the hell does that mean? I'm not even slicing right now. (I'm on strike, like many of you)
A - Jeez, what a little girl.
**Another slight pause**
A - You suck.
This appearanly made me a little girl, though I don't understand the rational behind it, I guess I'll have to take his word for it. And as a little girl, I'm hoping that I don't, indeed, suck. Isn't that illegal? Either way, I'm sure I'll find out if he's right when I take a shower tonight. Until then, what the hell is wrong with people? Are they all as dumb as this? Or is it like a fine wine? Do these people get better with age?

ive had simular experiences as a novice smuggler lol
but this happened to me and another novice smuggler
some new girl (he/she i dunno) came upto me and asked
girl "so what do smugglers do"
me (told her make spices, slice weps, armour etc)
girl: "so wat do i need to do to be a slicer"
me: (pistols 4 and tka 4, went thru the random slice info)
girl: "so what do i need to slice"
me (sending tells to the nov smuggler i was talking to, saying how she had no badges no proffs, noob clothes etc...tell her that she needs to buy or make precision knifes, and buy clamps, as you win every time hehe)
girl " so how much they cost me?"
me: depends 2500 maybe more for each crate
girl: "wots a crate?"
me (go thru wot a crate is without adding sarcastic remarks, and that was tuff)
girl " so how do i make a factory"
me ( me this dude just tryin to think of a way to smuggle ourselves as far away from this girl as poss!)
(after chatting for over 20 mins easily on random things that link to smuggler lol)
girl "will you give me some money?"
(nov smuggler tells "okes im gonna give her 1000 then we ditch this b!tch" me : "rofl" literally)
me: /tips 1000 bank - "well laters!"
girl "can i have 24k?"
me: "why dont you do what we all had to do"
"earn it!"
girl "aww pls"
me : "sorry"
(girl sends tell) "i will strip dance for 24k"
me : "im ok thanks"
girl "big ugly nerd"
me: "thanks! oh wat this button do?" (already entered her name in ignore box 0_o)
was alot funnier when it happened but she said so many funny things i cant remember them all lol
but she then kept standing around me and offered the other smuggler a dance, we left after than 0_0

Ok I've been a smuggler for a while now just never posted before. Here's one of my stories.
I'm at Fort Tusken working on squad leader for my 3rd exhausting holo. The fates have been cruel up to this point, BE, Armorsmith, and now SL. I do the usual invite everyone there bit to get my xp as high as possible. The newest member to the group notices my master smuggler title (I forgot to change it). The following happens in group chat:
New Member: heyi have 6 containers on me can you slice them for me?
Normally I never slice containers except for guildmates, but seeing as how earning SLxp is such a no brainer...
Me: Sure but I charge 2k a container.
NM: oh nvm
This is where it should have ended, but"Mr. 2 creds"in group decides to say something
Mr2c: 2k ?!? for a container, you are crazy!
Me: well i need to cover the costs of my tools, plus I don't need the xp anymore.
Mr2c: you could charge 500 a container and cover your costs!
(yeahI could, but i hate containers)
Me:that's what i charge and have had no compliants from people who "need" their containers opened now.
Me tell you what two of my friends are woking on smugg, they would be happy to open them for free. (gives their names)
Mr2c: when i was smuggler i used to pay people to open their containers.
Me: and when i was novice i did the same, but as i said i'm master now and don't need the xp.
Mr2c: but your friends are not master they should pay for containers!
Me: 1st off they don't HAVE to pay, 2nd they might but i don't know and don't want to speack for them.
Mr2c: that's BS, you are just trying to rip people off.
Me: no i'm am compenstating myself for my tools and time. plus i refered him to 2 capable and willing smugglers.
Mr2c: whatever f*** you i'm leaving.
Then he and the new member leave my SL group.
Moral of the story is don't let the people who are helping earn your xp get PO'd.

on a lighter note..
Setting: last night in my lab slicing containers for a friend (most probably tired)
Friend: hey so how it takes to slice?
me: I'm done trade up
trading unlocked containers with content inside...
Him: Duuude SOE sucks I got nothing?
Me (there were 6 containers with 1-2 items in each and a skilltape for melee defense) er yes there is
Him: nooooo SOE sucks!!! NOTHING
Me: Open the containers
silence for a bit
Him: do'h!!! SOE sucks it's all junk
Me: skilltape is junk?
Him: nm
and he walks out of my lab (hopefully to get some sleep)

I hate people like this, people who feel you should pay them to open a container. When it gets as far as your story i usually say somthing like this:
"Look D00b when i needed the xp I had to spend about 100k on containers just to lvl up because people like you take advatage of smugglers who need xp. Now with that said my price has go from 2k to 20k and if you bust my chops one more time not only will you pay 50k to get that container to be sliced but i will keep whats in it and then kill you. Now bugger off!

Ahhh, a fresh one. They are always better when the people are freshly dumb.
In the midst of telling a person that I charge 7k per slice I get this.
Dude: why u tryin to rip dude off?
Me: Excuse me?
Dude: 7k for a slice?!?! u are crazy!
Me: It isn't a ripoff. That is what I charge and people pay it.
"His friend now tells me. I found someone who will do it for 1k a slice. Will you match?"
Dude: yeah it is a big ripoff 5k is to much most charge 3k
Dude; so it you dont want buisness thats your fault
Me: Thats fine by me. I have people who pay that plus tips.
Me: Welcome to my Denial of Service list. 
Dude: its to high i have a friend who does quantity 1k and 2k single
Dude: actually 2 so you can shove your list up your u no what
Dude: i have 2 who do it for that price.
Me: Then go to them for your slices.
Me: And thanks for adding to the "chuckle for a smuggler" post.
Dude: just tryin to tell you its a ripoff just some advice

Me: Sorry, 7k per slice is how much I charge.
Me: If you can pay 500k for a suit of armor then you can afford my price.
Me: Which is now 10k per piece.

Me: Yup. Now its 15k.

Me: I did change the price. Its 20k a piece now.
