I Empty my Bank account (buisness has been bad) and Buy all of it.

I finaly /tell her back letting her know how much I have found. She was ecstatic saying that her and her friend had only managed to find 14k.

It was her Parting Comment after paing be a Nice finders fee: Never send an Entertainer and an Image Designer to do a Smugglers Job.

This reminds me of my first 'big' customer.

He wants to buy a Detachment Headquarters. This is back when basically nobody did faction ... at least I had not heard of anyone doing it ...

We met in Wayfar with another Master Smuggler and I ask for 50% down (basically the cost without the profit) and we argue over him giving me all the money at once or in incriments. We go through the deal at like $100k at a time (number may be off, but you get the point). I was charging 160 or 170 cr/point and using the profits to level up the other Smuggler to hold enough FP to do the deal (broke even on the deal).

At the end of the deal he paid around $7.5MM and then he tips me $10MM extra saying I don't charge enough. Within a short amount of time he places another order with me for some ungodly amount of factional items (something like 10 bases plus turrets and everything) and comments on needing weapons, armor, spice, buffs...in general all kinds of stuff.

The bases I was charging $100MM for. I told him for an additional $25MM I would get all of the other items (about an additional $10MM profit for me) and proceeded to go to Yaman for the Weapons, Laeadar for the Buffs, and Twin Suns (my guild at the time) for the armor. And then I proceeded to slice all of the sliceable items at full price ($5k/slice at the time...now $300/% increase). This time though, he trusts me now and gives me the full $125MM in one lump sum ... in advance. I was shocked.

This showed me that there is really a lot of money on our server (some people like e-bay too much). The lesson in this is ... there is more than one way to make a credit ... don't stick to being a slice monkey.

Allright ive been watching this Post now for a while and i must say its pretty funny...

I got a story wich isnt really funny but an good example that not evry moron should be able to play smuggler

So i will post my most memorable event here to... it happened on the Intrepid Server in Coronet

So anyway i was browsing through the bazaar to find some cheap copper till ive seen this spartial shout from a fellow smuggler

That he has 93 % weaponkits and he charges only 4k each slice ... i thought oki i charge for my master slices 4.5k

Then i spottet him on my way to the starport and ive seen he had the slicertag up

So i send him a tell if he was a master and he sayd no.

So lets just start from here now

Me: Well if your not a master dont you think you charge a little bit too much for crappy slices?

I mustve offended him with that or something becouse now the action started

Dude: ...

Dude: No i dont i charge that much becouse im gooood...

Me: Ah ok well im curious what is the highest slice you can get with your wepkits.

Dude: None of your buisnes if you dont want something sliced get the #censored# away.

Me: Excuse me i was only asking a question becouse im curious.

Now i was getting mad a lil bit and the crowd around us started watching (i think a jedi was there too lol)

So i decided to open my store and slice a bit

I only charged 2.5k a slice for masterslices and pretty soon the crowd that was with him came to my position not far away from him

So he bombarded me with Spartial Hate messages and told those ppl to get away from me becouse i rip evryone off

I didnt even bother answering and made at least 120k in slices

Then he came to my position and was pretty much repeating what i was saying and offende me deeply...

He even challenged me and was throwing more annoying spartials in the crowd.

Well i was pretty much done with slicing so i decided why not...

What he didnt know was that i am a master smuggler commando and i just pushed my killermacro

Finally i finish reading this thread and can go back to work after 4 days hehe

I've never had a bad customer yet buthere is my story about how the slicing gods hate me, I bought some a crate of PSG's the other day and last night got around to slicing them. Well it started out ok a 23% effect slice, I was thinking thats not too bad and the gods must have heard me.....45% encum slice NNNOOOOO.....try the next one...41% encum slice !!!!! AAAARRRGGGHHHH....was not happy, what a waste of two awesome encum slices on something that doesnt even have encumberance !!!!

Anyway keep up the stories as i read this thread everyday at work...

I learned a valuable lesson today: NEVER SLICE YOUR OWN WEAPONS!!!

*cry* first thing i did after getting master smug was to slice all my best weapons.... Nothing was above 27% and most were speed slices...

I really did start crying when my favourite fwg5 (1.8 speed, over 200 damage) got the worst slice of the lot.... a 17% speed slice....

But apart from that my first ever large slice job went really well. Most patient guy ive ever met (you rule essense). I was outa clamps and knives so i had to craft clamps for every item he gave me, an knives for every 5. Gave me about 18 weapons, so this took enarly half an hour >< Goes to show not all customers are bad...

We always talk about people who have no clue and ive run into a few. But this post is about me screwing up, check it out:

I have never sliced or used a PSG, just never got around to looking into them. So im out front of the Theed Star Port and a player comes up to me and asks me to slice 8 PSG's for him, below is our conversation:

Dude: can you slice these PSG's for me?

Me: sure examine me for price

*we agree he trades them to me*

Me: 44% encum...nice slice!

Dude: .......

Me 36% encum, another high slice!

Dude: ........

Me 43% encum slice, wow nice run!

Dude: what are you talking about?

Me: 38% encum slice, you are a lucky man!

Dude: your kidding right?

Me: 45% encum...your not digging these high encum slices??

Dude: on a PSG there is no encum to slice they are worthless.

Me: *examine the PSG (never did that before)* see what he is talking*

Me: OMG im sorry i have never worked with a PSG's before

Dude: shh, keep slicing
