And that's fine, they need it. But it was reported that from FF, when you were talking with Rangers, you have never heard of our Outdoorsman proposal.

I've been working on space for several months and have been out of touch with the current live forum communities. My office is physically seperate from the live team, etc. This leads to a situation where I'm not entirely up to date with the various professions proposals. I will look up this proposal and read it very soon.

i still havent heard a good arguement to make me want to stay a smuggler, yes it is some good information but im tired of standing around with my thumb up my arse waiting to see something. promises of a revamp dating back too september of 03. and now they wont even give us a time frame. all they are doing is hanging a spice on the end of a string and as we reach for it they pull it back and laugh. i would say give us a promise but we know we cant trust there word anymore. how hard is it to give us some pieces , how hard is it to change text in a box to tell us what we get. come on stop pulling the string and show us, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS. and right now your word doesnt mean crap to us. and this is the reason so many dedicated smugglers are leaving the proffesion/game.

"We're sorry, smugglers - your revamp has been put on hold so Greenmarine, your dedicated developer, can work on the ranger revamp. Once he finishes with that, and finishes the 2nd chef revamp, he's be right back on your revamp, which is slated after the 3rd expansion entitled "Luke's 80th birthday bash". It was difficult to make that decision, and I know you are all angry, but we feel its in the best interest of thre game as a whole. We've discussed this internally and it seems like the right thing to do. I just wanted to shoot straight instead of string you along and mislead you (as outlined on page 24 of our customer service manual)."

What about the Changes YOU made for RANGERS before being pulled to Player Cities? These were almost ready for testing and then nothing (New Traps for example). How do we know that you will NOT be pulled for some other project and we wind up with a half revamp like the RAGERS got.

LOL, this is sad but true.... We really need a little more then more promises. A Greenmarine re-vamp out line would be a good start and should not take all that long to put together.

Ok people, I was at Fan Fest with FishBrains and all I can say is this:

1. GreenMarine really really really wants to get to us...it's unfortunate his skills were taken from Smuggler and put into JtL, but you know, that's life. He is one of the best people they have and I can't blame SOE for dragging him to JtL. I can guarantee you that our revamp is going to be amazing, after hearing all the ideas and all the *cough*pointedquestions*cough* we all asked GreenMarine. I swear in the Hybrid Profspanel I thought FishBrains was gonna jump him.

2. He means it when he says no more broken promises...which might mean no more set dates/publishes for the Revamp, but I'd rather take a Doom 3 perspective on the revamp...when we ask when, the devs answer "When it's perfect." Just me there though, I know lots of us want it NOW NOW NOW. Space will tide you over, I promise you that. If you want to boycott space until after our revamp, go ahead. GM said at the panel (direct quote) "There is no excuse for how Smuggler has been strung along." So can we all get over the fact that yeah, things happen and things change, we didn't get our revamp. I've been a smuggler since August, I sigh too when I see us get pushed back, but I am willing to drop the past and look forward to the future now that I've gotten some answers.

3. I have a photo of GreenMarine that I'll be posting links to soon, to prove his existence. I have to get my camera developed, and considering the fact that I got insanely drunk on Saturday night, I'm actually a little afraid of what's on that camera.

4. FishBrains seriously took GM aside for quite a while, and I SAW GM's plans for revamp, he promised me that there would be a first draft of the proposal here very soon; however, remember that he is assigned to SPACE, and can't do much with us right now. He is making an effort though, and that speaks worlds to me. I remember telling him, "You know? All Smugglers want is to feel like we're at least being heard. We never see you guys on our boards unless it's to tell us we're getting FUBARd again." I was also commended by at least 4 devs on an idea I mentioned about BH terms and risking being on there as well to take a chance to slice a Jedi off the terms. I'm sure we'll be seeing that idea pop up. I'm still trying for a pouch full of sand though to throw in people's eyes, but that one's a little more wishful thinking...

5. Please believe people...I am in contact with a few devs on a personal basis, and they know we need love. Just hold on, ok? Smuggler's going to be the coolest profession in the galaxy if we just let them do their job, and we do ours...posting our ideas and being passionate about the profession we love. I'm posting this in both threads GM posted in, so more people see it, so I apologize if you have read it already.

Really, REALLY disappointing to keep getting confirmation that the game we're currently paying for has been abandoned by the devs to try to get us to pay for a different one ... I mean, is ANYBODY still working on SWG, or is it just a janitor that comes in every night and makes sure the servers aren't on fire?

Let me be crystal clear, I will not for a moment consider buying JtL until they show me they're willing to actually fix and support the game I already paid for. End of story.
