I am a BH and I have always viewed the BH vs Smuggler relationship to be one of the more promising ones as far as roleplaying and PVP.

From day one I envisioned going after smugglers who drop thier shipments at the first sign of an imperial cruiser. I never thought I would be locked in an epic struggle against Jedi. Dont get me wrong I enjoy hunting jedi and enjoy the challenge but really I should be the police of the underworld. Not the FRS!!!!!!!!!

The Fetts were the two most famousBH's in our lore. But niether was actually hired to kill a Jedi. One was hired to assasinate a Senator and one was hired to kill a SMUGGLER!!!!!!!! Granted Both were killed fighting jedi but the bottom line is that they both died while on contract with the under world.

So my point is simple; give the smugglers some combat and content love. If they fail at thier content then they become BH content. But not just fodder; I want a challenge from a strong smuggler template. Give them the content a smuggler deserves but also make them to be on par to give a BH a challenge.

I remember a plan of attack it stated jedi revamp. A space expansion. A combat upgarde. Followed by a GCW revamp. Then would come the much anticipated Smuggler revamp.

We all saw the Jedi revamp that took 2 1/2 publishes to put out.

We go JTL.

We got the Combat Upgrade.

Now we have seen several other publishes +1 expansion. Out of these publishes have come 1 GCW bandaid and 1 Smuggler bandaid.

But even now that we are 3 months past the second expansion which wasnt even mentioned in the original plan and we dont even have talks of a GCW revamp.

It makes me sick to see the boiler plate responce that Tiggs posted to this kind of post that has been forced down the Smugglers throat scince pub 10.

Please Stay The Course.

Give us the GCW fix we all want!!!

Then give these smugglers the fix they have waited 2 years for and really deserve.!!!!!

no offense Tiggs... But our revamp better be absolutely incredible, since it has had all the time in the world to be worked up and refined

I'm pretty sure that even if they managed to reproduce the Sistine Chapel with all of our names carved into God's hands, we'd still be disappointed after two years. Ok well, maybe not if we were carved into God's hands, you gota admit that would be friggin cool!

Yeah right. As incredible as it was every single time they've said the same thing; "We want to take the time that it deserves." Do you realize that TWO FREAKING YEARS hasn't been enough time so what in the world makes you think the next two years will be?

It's called track-record. That is ALL you can go on unless you want to turn SOE's development into a faith based religion. Their track-record, btw, is a big fat goose egg.

Here's the problem, whether intended or not, that's one lame "clarification" without even considering the track record of SOE with regard stuff like this.

Looking back on past things said, such as the wonderful post about the difference between capital and lower case S, I apologise if I look at her post as yet another in a long line of double talk as well as an unsuccessful attempt to calm people by trying to twist their message into something that they think won't sound as bad.

2 years is one hell of a long term development. What we got was yet ANOTHER postponement. I agree with what you said. It's a damn shame that we won't even know what will finally be coming to us until it's too late. I believe you gave them hell in the C-Forums.

The problem I'm having at this point is with Tiggs. I used to stand up for her. I used to point out that she was different from the Dev team. Unfortunately it seems that she's been hanging around there for too long because she's getting to be just as bad as they are with the BS they try to pass as legitimate reasoning.

Continue posting things like that andher job title will need to be renamed Corporate Propoganda Manager.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

None taken, my views and posts are my own and come second to the community's any how.

but the messenger hasn't had squat to say for awhile and then pops up with what she said today.

In my mind, that just reinforces my point; Tiggs can't help it if there's little to say on the matter.

I'll shoot the messenger any time they want to assume I'm so stupid that I don't know the difference between a postponement and a postponement.

QFE.

When the messenger works for the likes of SOE and has absolutely nothing but BS then tries to defend it I say go ahead and 'shoot'.

The LAST thing I'd do is thank the 'messenger' for "clarifying"...

Like I said, my views and posts are my own for the most part. If disparity occurs between them and the community's, the community's takes presedent, but that won't stop me from posting generally.. but I suspect that's not your meaning anyway.

I just don't understand, in the least, why anyone would thank Tiggs for saying absolutely NOTHING of any substance. This is no personal slight on Tiggs just the Tiggs that is a SOE representative.

What exactly did we get from Tiggs that deserved thanks?

I truely doubt this, because if this were true, there would be real fixes being implemented and not just more nerfs.
This is a MULTIPLAYER GAME and for some reason the multiplayer part keeps dissapearing. The GCW is borked and now the only other fun multiplayer component of hunting Jedi in groups is gone. Someone at SOE has really lost the plot and it is really dissapointing :\

We are currently focusing on fixing what is currently broke. New features will be move out to a longer term implementation.

Yet BH get new missions, CH get a new system, and you have time to revamp the Valarian missions. Riiight.

Hey Tiggs. I don't trust or believe in you.

I don't trust or believe in TH either.

or ANY of the devs still here.

... and I'm starting to believe Greenmarine was never as interested in us as many of us thought he was and was just another person trained in the art of SOE BS.

I haven't been around as long as many here. But I have been around for 18 months. Smuggler was my first prof mastered and I've never dropped it. I have NOWHERE OR NOTHING TO DO NOW. I flat plainly refuse to lower myself toplayJedi, I came to this game to play a character, play a role. Not to gain as much power as I can, and I'm certainly not going to contribute to a practice which is destroying the game.

I wish I never chose the 6 month subscription as currently, my sub now ends in December and I feel I've wasted my money.

Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Editor's Note: The author of the above post has quit giving SOE her money. She suggests you do the same, because this game will never be what you want it to be.

Tiggs, please... while i appreaciate the position you're in your level of control, and that you don't secretly get off on causing pain or frustration, you have to realize there are just some things you can't sugarcoat with some tightly controled mouthpiece-speak. Smuggler changes just aren't nearly as important or nessesary for making this game "complete" as they once seemed to be, and as a result continue to be push-offable whenever the monthly any new idea or change of direction comes up.

As for getting new people in game, or broadening the player base, well, from where I sit I've seen some new players show up and some old ones come back, but how short lived will their experience be? When most of the old players are only back because of station access and there just isn't a game or a plan that new players coming into the game can look to for progress or hope?

I dunno, from where I sit theres a lot more of this:
http://www.gamepro.com/gamepro/domestic/games/features/40849.shtml

and this:
http://www.theforce.net/latestnews/story/5_Reasons_Why_Star_Wars_Galaxies_Is_Not_Worth_Your_Time_93883.asp

and these:

that's been generated lately and well, I don't know what its gonna take to turn it around, but, well, I'll know it when I see it, and I ain't seeing it.

Good luck though... one thing we all share I think is that we're pulling for the future of this game to be a good one.

All I can say is wow, I wish I had known this before I came back. It would have been nice to see PC magazine give an honest review of the game and it's current state. Really this game hasn't changed much since Beta. While the Developers have changed, the methods haven't and SW:G is in an awful state because of it.

It's not like I'm any less agrovated about this than many here, I'm both upset and dispondent, but I'm doing my best to contain it and be rational (although I'm not sure I'm succeeding).

Additionally, I'm not sure why you're picking on a simple thank you as if it meant anything other than a 'thanks' does .

I've said my piece on this, loud and clear, just not in a place you can view.

Edit: Additionally, it is always my aim to be diplomatic: "Using or marked by tact and sensitivity in dealing with others", so that informed discussion can take place rather than anyone taking offence and clouding an issue. I suspect you mean that I have been spin doctoring, which I do not believe to be the case. Tiggs can only present us with the information that has been aOK'd to be past on, which seems to be very little.

I for one would not like to be in the situation she is in, receiving the brunt of our frustrations when she herself has very little to do with what gets developed and how.
