  1. Smugglers still can't smuggle.
    Since release. Since PRE-release. Since...
Mission terminals, space quests, slicing mini-game, bounty hunters.. the pieces are all out there, just put them together for us! Give me a reason to use my YT-1300 and give me a chance to be interdicted and fight or evade detection with a secret compartment.. And the new loot system is horrible. I was optimistic at first, but the fact that the components don't stack, the rarity of the high end items (ICB, Mandalorian Intraframes, etc.) is insulting.

We are currently focusing on fixing what is currently broke. New features will be move out to a longer term implementation.

It's been said before, but maybe repeating itwill get the message across:

How is Smugglers not being able to Smuggle not considered "broke" ?

Honestly, this should come as NO surprise to any of you.

SOE has no respect for you as customers, never has and likely never will. For them to even think that they do is an insult to our intelligence.

The entire team cares very much about you the customers and the game. The game is constantly evolving and we need to focus our energy on bug fixes and making the game more fun for a wider audience. That includes the present audience in that. We want to have more players for you to play with and I am sure you want that also. With this comes reducing the scope of our publishes so that we can make sure that publishes are cleaner. This doesn't mean that there won't be changes to professions or other content, it just means that bigger things are pushed out and given the time to be worked on that they deserve.

And you think lowering group XP is a way to do that? lol.

None taken, my views and posts are my own and come second to the community's any how.

but the messenger hasn't had squat to say for awhile and then pops up with what she said today.

In my mind, that just reinforces my point; Tiggs can't help it if there's little to say on the matter.

I'll shoot the messenger any time they want to assume I'm so stupid that I don't know the difference between a postponement and a postponement.

Do you honestly believe that what was posted was an attempt at a trick of some sort, so that later on they could refer back to it and use semantics and being pedantic as the basis of an excuse? Perhaps I'm being naive, but that just seems ludicrous to me. Isn't it rather more likely that it was a simple mistake and that what was intended was simply to say, "the schedule of content development hasn't changed, only the way we go about implementing it has, but it does result in it taking longer" ?

If someone wants to insult me by assuming I'm stupid, they better come up with something a whole lot better.

I really don't think that was the intent, or indeed the context with which it was posted. If I'm wrong, feel free to insult my intelligence more overtly

QFE.

When the messenger works for the likes of SOE and has absolutely nothing but BS then tries to defend it I say go ahead and 'shoot'.

The LAST thing I'd do is thank the 'messenger' for "clarifying"...

Like I said, my views and posts are my own for the most part. If disparity occurs between them and the community's, the community's takes presedent, but that won't stop me from posting generally.. but I suspect that's not your meaning anyway.

hehe you said "pedantic".

I guess it's time to say something profound, but nothing comes to mind.

no offense Tiggs... But our revamp better be absolutely incredible, since it has had all the time in the world to be worked up and refined

Tiggs, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to ABSOLUTELY disagree with you here.

"pushed out and given the time to be worked on that they deserve"?????????

TWO YEARS HASN'T BEEN ENOUGH?

God, our revamp had better be an entire damned EXPANSION at this rate.

I have wasted TWO YEARS of my life on this game, hoping that SOMEONE over there gave a flying crap about the profession. Sure, SOE and LucasArts respects us as paying customers, but does anyone really respect the people behind the credit card numbers? No.

This game is a poison to the players that pay for it.

Whoever is running the show, and deciding that the third iconic profession in the Original Trilogy isn't important enough to attend to for TWO YEARS is an idiot, and that's an understatement. They've obviously NEVER seen the OT, and never will.

I'm sorry that the almighty dollar has clouded the vision of this game. I highly doubt I'll be around much longer. This kind of "treatment" makes me sick, and rest assured I'd feel the same way if it were a profession like Dancer, or Swordsman.

Mark my words, I am going to write every media outlet, and make sure as many people as possible with a "voice" know of this absolute and rigid backhand to our profession, and the entire SWG community as a whole.

V E E L A "her royal hawtness"
I am Jack's Smirking Revenge. I am Jack's Ignored Profession.
Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Editor's Note: The author of the above post has quit giving SOE her money. She suggests you do the same, because this game will never be what you want it to be.
