Thread: Last Ditch question from a Jedi

Last ditch is best described as this.

"If i am going down then Im taking you with me". Nuff said.

Yes you can use it offensively in a limited number of scenarios. I used it to help grind out master smuggler. But that was against mobs I pulled away from the lair after I pounded on it to weaken it. I wouldn't use it against an npc unless i knew i was going to win afterwards. I sure as heck wouldn't use it in pvp unless I was grouped and shooting at the same target. Even then I would only use that kind of special against a jedi as my CONTRIBUTION in the battle. That being said, i would use it against anyone else as my CONTRIBUTION and nothing else.

I have to say LD is hands down the coolest skill in the game. My alt Iepod is master smuggler and I love using it to finish a critter. But anywho, with the food allowing you to recover from incap in seconds it seems that anyone who gets killed by this just isnt trying hard enuff.

Also, I was thinking avoid incap might be a nice buffer against LD if a BH gets the ballz to actually try that at the end of a fight. Personally, risk vs reward is too high to be used in pvp but if your going down, what a way to go =P

And guys, not every Jedi has a problem with LD. I, personally, think it is perfectly balanced out. It doesn't work every time, all the time, therefore there is no 100% incap with it.

I have no problems with it at all.

Ok, I will bite back.

No, the max a jedi can heal is 1500 pts. There are stims that anyone can use that can heal that much.

How much does it heal? If it heals a lot would it be appropriate to have a long cooldown on all moves after using it (like not being able to attack for 10 seconds)

There already is a cooldown timer on it. It may not be much, but there is one.

Do you guys have to use it, or would you rather use something else?

Both. We have to use it, as most BHs now have weapons that will deal 1000-1200 pts of damage a shot, while the best sabers are around 700-800 pts of dmg per hit, and about the same speed.

We would much rather be able to survive without it.

Oh, to add to this. BHs generally don't hunt the higher level Jedi. They hunt those of us that have little or no chance at survival. So the healing doesn't let us compete even in a one-on-one, but basically allows us to try and flee.

First of all, normal toons can have stims that do 1.2k and only every 60 seconds, but 30 seconds with each sip of a drink. I think the cooldown timer for that 1.5k Jedi heal is 3-4 seconds.

Second, I noticed that with a very nice rifle, carbine, or pistol (i've used all three against Jedi), the most I've been able to register on them was 750-800 tops.

I have seen Jedi hit for 600-700 tops, but mostly 300-500.

Thanks for the info - I really had no idea about all that.

I think its good information. I for one like learning about other professions i will probably never master.

Anytime. Maybe it is just me, as I only unlocked my Jedi a week ago, but all this animosity towards Jedi in general just amazes me. I realize there are some jerks that play jedi, but there are jerks in every profession.

I read someone say it unbalances the game, but I don't know how. Sure, most people can't beat a jedi one on one, but show me where that happened in the movies? And jedi have no effect on anything else in the game. A jedi has no effect on whether or not someone else can defeat a kryat dragon.

I just don't get it.

A BH/Master rifles with a T-21 will almost constantly hit over 1000 dmg every time. Considering that most new jedi are level 60 or so, and most BHs that hunt jedi are lvl 80, that goes up abit.

But the Saber damage you have listed is almost dead on. My saber max dmg is a little over 300, but I suck at making them, and have crappy crystals

lol and if you notice the very first posts were answering his question, and telling him how to get past the skill! The first flame is 11 replies down and as far as flames go its pretty weak "OMG I'm sick of this" lol

thank you for posting that =)

As I said, I see your motives now.

The more you say, the more apparent they are.

With that said, I won't entertain your trolling any longer. I'm done with this thread.

Let this one die people.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114
