Ditto, and to think that it is anything more is simply giving SOE / TH more credit than they deserve.
Bottom line folks, it was a silly little post only made aggravating by the current climate in here, of which SOE seems to know nothing about since they obviously could care less about what is said in here. If everything was shiney right now no one would of gave a pile of gubber crap about this.

I suppose that somewhere, a Developer is using this Tuesday Tip as justification that they're "working on Smuggler, see?"
I'm half-surprised that they didn't try to pass it off as our long-awaited revamp.

Well, Here is Wikipedia's definition of Troll.
In the context of the Internet, a troll is a person who posts inflammatory messages intended to cause a disruption in discourse. The word is also often used to describe such messages.
Well I personally think that Thunderheart's Tuesday Tip could be defined this way. Use any other profession as an example but Smuggler please. We are one of the most overlook professions in the game. Our profession continueally neglected. What did he expect of the smuggler community other than aggrevation. Either that or they are the most detached group of developers/community relations any gaming company has.
At least it is Smuggler "content"

Hello Folks,
I just wanted to comment on the Tuesday Tip that was posted yesterday. In no way was the tip meant as a slap in the face or to take shots at our Smuggler community. Tuesday tips are scheduled ahead of time and posted each week. If anyone was offended by the tip I apologize however our intentions were not malicious.

I do believe that it wasn't intentional, but it was extremely poor timed when all things are considered.
With that said Tiggs, can we get some clarification on things related to Smuggler? If you want to know what I'm talking about, talk to Wes, he and I have spoken a little about some things that should/need to happen with that community being put into "long term development" again.
Oh yeah, and thanks for coming by to try and smooth this over.

TH and I have no way of knowing you are suspended or banned unless we do an account check. The admins handle everything on the forums as far as violations of the TOS or guidelines goes.

Still, Tiggs... it's poor taste.
I just want to add to that I, too, feel like this Tuesday Tip was a slap in the face to smugglers. We already know not to expect anything that we suggest in the way of new content or 'revamp' or anything like that, why provoke us like this as well? Why not just post something like "Never pay a smuggler more than 1000 credits for a slice, because they don't actually have to use materials in order to do it anymore"? It would be almost as bad.

Direction of games change every day due to various reasons. That is why there is nothing definite being posted until it is almost out on Test Center.

still it was different a while back - yes sometimes it was disapponting when things didnt happen after all -
But know I can say with conviction:
I NEVER KNEW LESS ABOUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH THE GAME -- EVER (thats counting the last 3 years)
That aint good.
You will get blasted either way, it's the way the world in here turns, but at least we would know some direction, have some excitement, som way to give actual input (remember this?)
Sure people were mad when you (before your time actually)first delayed the Smuggler revamp. But back then there was an explanation at least.
After the a few more delays, just keeping quiet and waiting till its on Test, just won't cut it anymore, you have to see that.
POST the plans. And change them if need be.
It's much better than not saying anything - even if you get bad vibes either way - at least we will have some discussion to keep us occupied.
