Well, if that were the case, the devs would've said something to us, rather than leave us feeling alienated and, well, like a bas'tard child (bypassing filter, muhaha).
I'd be willing to call it a honest mistake by TH, but even so, that would mean heignorantly revealed one of the smuggler forums' inner jokes. It may not have been an intentional attack, but it sure felt like one.

I just wonder, aren't we overeacting over the "revealing our secrets to the world" aspect ?
I mean, that macro was posted on what is basically a public forum where every SWG player have access, Smuggler or not. Sure since it is on our forum that mean a LOT of players never saw it before today because they never surf here, but still, that hardly classify it as "secret".
It was a Smuggler forum inside joke and is recognised as such. Now the joke is shared with the rest of the playerbase but so what?
The comment one made on that thread about TH out-smuggling us by giving that infos to the rest of the playerbase made me laugh. My reply was "exactly, now if only we could out-smuggle TH by smuggling "Smuggling" to the Smuggler community" or something like that. lol

I'm not arguing with the fact that it was maybe a bad choice of Tips, just arguing with the "it was our only SECRET, you bas****" argument

i know i gave this tip to my entire guild once in a e-mail but that was long ago like ummmm months, and most arnt still here..... /puke that means that Thunderheart is in my guild /puke wait a second why hasnt he given me free stuff, that nurfhearders been holding out on me.
and IM UPSET BECAUSE THIS tuesday tip WAS A ATTACK AT ME SPACIFICLY AT ME, and YOU WILL BE HARD PRESSED TO PROVE OTHERWISE

Wow... just.... wow.
I think TH needs a little more training in Community Relations. I don't think he did it purposefully, but it just shows that he's out of touch with the playerbase.
It almost makes me want to renew my account for another month just so I can get banned again for the rant I would post.
Oh well. Everything has pretty much been said already.
/salute to the noble Smugglers who will find their accounts banned over the posts they made in the Tuesday Tips thread. Sometimes you gotta "take one for the team".
You're all more than welcome to join us on the CoLS forums and rant all you want. Uncensored.
Wes, you need to stop by there, too. Loosen up your tie and let your hair down a bit, and all that. I'm sure folks would be happy to hear from you there.

Then I remembered who were dealing with, and that they're not clever enough to do that.
Plus, Wes's spin on it and him saying what almost seems like an "Oops, we didn't mean to piss them off, we're retarded" message being passed alongthrows this idea completely out the window.

Its not the fact that they gave away our 'secret' any idiot thats ever used an emote can do it. Its the fact that TH took one of the little jokes that we use in a desparate attempt to bolster our catastrophic moral, and threw it up in a condecending 'Look at what the smugglers do, aren't they cuuuute.'
I suggest we create a new secret smuggler greeting, involving Keck, his balls, and what the Devs can do with them.
