Thread: Nerf call for Last Ditch
Talk about a shotty premise... In order for LD to be anywhere NEAR affective MANY shots have to be fired and teh engagement must last for at least some time. The person writing the post is basing the premise on a combat log instead of the way the special was designed. The premise is faulty...therefore the conclusion is faulty.
But can I just say...I love it when we do these massive Smuggler ForumPirate Raids...
ARGH!!! Launch the grappling hooks... That Jedi Schooner's ours...
Erryc are you following me? You always post right after me.
Stop looking at my butt.

So just so i get this straight you guys think it is ok to have a shot that may not hit all the time but has the chance to just about 1 shot incap somebody? Wasnt the whole idea of the cu to balance things out and have extended fights and such? This shouldnt be allowed in a post cu profession imo, i could see leaving the target with 100 health or something. You guys just seem to be getting upset because it is very close to being a "I win button" and people are talking about nerfing it and rightly so. Just my two cents, flame away![]()

1) They come off the terms and everyone, and I mean everyone, can attack them.
2) They suffer perma-death if their experience bottoms out at a certain level. Get below -x exp, toon goes bye-bye.
Personally, I'd accept a nerf to LD if option 2 was put in the game. Heck, I'd even grind up BH at that point.
That is the best idea for permadeath I've heard. Avoidable, but there.
In Battlefront 2, you can be a jedi now but they take it away if you dont use it properly. SWG could learn a thing or two from BF2.
10 bucks says that MBH up there posting against LD is some jedi's alt.
Any takers?![]()

is the fact that the special is just as likely to incap us as it is you, lost on you?
its called last ditch for a reason. It can be an "I lose button" as well.

It is my deepest hope that SOE will do with SWG what Blizzard did with StarCraft when people complained that Protoss Carriers were "overpowered". Blizzard actually upped the damage of the carriers, and said "There. Now they're overpowered." Once players realized that Blizzard wasn't going to negotiate with the whiners, the whiners were forced to learn what things existed in the game to counter the carriers. It was simple. Terran Science vessels fired an EMP that made Protoss sheilds go away. The moral of the story? The tools existed in the game to defeat the Protoss, but players were demanding the "easy" way out, having the Devs fix it instead of learning to use their brains to find a solution.
LOL - if SOE did that I'd be prepaying my 3 subscriptions for the year!
Cheers
