I'm a fan of a 3/4 combo. Make the basic slicing tools [simple toolkits] craftable. Make the high-end tools available through Smuggler missions.

3 and 4

i would want to craft simple/finleycrafted toolsets.

let simpletool sets use general metals ....non specific

let finey crafted toolsets use something more specific, but not exteremly hard to get.(say rorian something copper. its alwaysa there but shifts as would anyother inlocation*if such things exists...crafter types help....*)

maybye use gemstones.(after all it is modifying meta. IE dimond blades)


then
for the high end slicing i would love to loot those compnents from smuggling missions. giving us rare spices or slicing comps as the skims from the crates(depending on coargo of course)

*edit* having smugglers not make their own toolsets is just stupid. Who ese better would know what to do thins these tool then the person who made them.

And I dont want the rewards to be random. If I want to do a bunch of speed sliced on my weapons, I want to be able to pick the mission, or the reward. No random results.

Definitely 4. And I agree with being able to slice ship components - that would make me smile....

As the influx of new, younger, I wanna be a Jedi players fills our universe, hunting Krayts will be a futile effort. Unless of course someone would come up with the 'I shot it first, so you can't loot it fix'.

My dream... A role-playing server that we all could transfer to with all items, houses, rewards, and credits. Anyone named after a cartoon character, enormous body part, etc. would obviously not be accepted to this server. All players wanting to play on this server would have to be on a normal server for a pre-determined length of time with no issues concerning conduct. Also, there would be a 'token' that tracked the text 'PWND'. If this token were active, no server for you.

I vote for #3 craft/loot.

I take 4

I also like the idea of them coming from space kills, kinda falls in line.
