Just the other day I was browsing the vendors ata reknowned weaponsmiths shop on Bria... This has beenaltered to protect the...guilty.
WS: Hey Caylin, you still a master smuggler?
Caylin: Sure am, whats up?
WS: Wondered if you could slice some things for me.
Caylin: Sure thing man, how much you need done?
WS: Oh a few guns.
Caylin: Alright cool, just let me know.
WS: Do you have any powerups?
Caylin: No... why do you ask?
WS: Well there is a trick with powerups that lets you get better slices.
Caylin: Really? How do I do that?
WS goes on for a while about how I would accomplish this powerup slice process. Meanwhile I am taking screenshots of the conversation and using /log.
Caylin: Well man, I'm sorry but I don't think I should do that for you. Sounds a bit shadeyto me.
WS: Ahh alright. NP then.
Caylin: After all, I'm the Smuggler Correspondent now, and I shouldn't be connected with exploits like that, don't you think?
WS: ....

Aww man. Well, it may or may not be good to reveal the name. Weren't people getting banned for using double sliced weapons when they had no idea they were being double sliced? Oh well, still a good story. Loved the ending

Sorry to be a buzzkill. Some of these where funny but come on most of them where newbs that didn't know anything about the game. I know some of them are annoying but atleast try and help them. Don't step all over them. Remember one day way back then you where once a newb. I think that is a put down when people make fun of new players who don't know what the hell they are doing. I'm almost a master doc and i always buff newbs for free or at a low price, I don't use my best buff packs but i use the pack's that i had left over on them that arn't as good. And you guys are asking for this post not to be shutdown? Well I think it should its completly useless and shows what kind of **edit** play this game.

I was walking outside out Coronet when this guy called Wilderbeast comes up to me and says
"I will do all your bidding through out the galaxy, serve you in every way if you would upgrade my gun."
the gun was a CDEF rifle, i dont know why but i did the slice for free, when i returned it to him he kneeled down and said "Thank you my master, what do you whant done in return?"
i told him "Get up,its not that big of a deal. Just use the gun alot"
Before he whent i gave him some muon, becouse i love the thought of some noobie out there freaking out becouse he cant stop pukeing.

Just to break the cynicism a little:
Was in the mining outpost today and got a tell
Can you slice mbari shirt for me?
Okay, sure. I just got slicer a few days ago, and this is my first time slicing for the public. 34% encumbrance.
She asks me to slice a rifle.
16% speed.
She happily paid mefor the second slice, and said (still don't believe it) "Thanks. Anything you get is still making my stuff better!"

I had some punk a few weeks back claiming he was a master a slicer while spamming his slice sale. So I walk up to the guy.
Slicing punk (Wearing Slicer Tag): Master Slicer Slicing for 2k per item,
me (Wearing Master Smuggler Tag): *cough* so what is a master slicer?
Slicing punk: Some one that has slicing IV
me: So that would be a slicer then?
Slicing punk: No I'm a master so beacuse I've finished slicing IV.
me: You do know that a Master Smuggler gets a higher range in sliceing right.
Slicing punk: No they don't.
Me: /sigh
Bystander: He is right, Master Smugglers get a higher slice.
Slicing punk: Do you want something sliced?
Me: /sigh Why would I want anything sliced by you? But quick question, have you ever got a 45% encumbrance slice on armor? OR a 35% damage or speed slice on weapons? Becasue I have.
Slicing punk: Oh (Has heruns to the starport while spamming his message.)
Just goes to show that it's not only noobs out there but also our own

Yay it got re-opened. Posting now before it gets closed again.
Weaponsmith Story : Smuggler Related.
Back when I was a weaponsmith I'm stood waiting for a shuttle at Dearic heading to Endor. A Zabrak walks up to me and starts to chat.
Client : Excuse me Sir. Could you make a custom weapon for me please? ( Starts nicely doesn't it? )
Me : Custom weapon? Sure, what do you need?
Client : I need something pretty fast because I'm just a novice.
Me : Well I don't think you'll find must faster then my scout pistol. 1.5 speed 163 damage.
Client : Made specially for me?
Me : Well no. It's a factory run but by far one of the best I've seen on the server. I don't think I could get one faster, in fact it would likely be worse.
Client : I have to have custom made. The stats don't matter.
Me : Why?
Client : So I can tell everyone I have a custom made gun made specially for me.
Me : Ok, hang on a minute.
Me : Custom weapon? Sure, what do you need?

I dig around in my packs, ignoring the crates of pre-built lovingly crafted weapons and find some copper and some aluminium. I make a gun thats about 1.9 speed but the damage is fairly decent for a scout.
I hand it to him.
Client : Is this sliced?
Me : No I just made it. Like you asked.
Client : Yes. I know you just made it. But did you slice it?
Me : No. I don't have the ability to slice.
Client : Duh. Yes you do. You get it at novice.
Me : Yes, at novice smuggler. Not novice weaponsmith.
Client : Look. If you don't want to slice my weapon, say so. Don't be a jerk about it.
Me : Look. I don't have smuggler. I cant slice weapons.

Flash of light in my head.
Me : Hand me the gun.
Trade takes place.
I root around in my pack and pull out one of the factory made scout blasters, and trade it to him. 20k accompanies the trade.
Client : Now thats a nice gun. See, all you smugglers need is the right motivation.
I'm in hysterics till the shuttle arrives but eventually I calm down as I reach my destination, jumping shuttles in the process. Then I get a tell.
Client : By the way. Nicely roleplayed back there. I know lots of smugglers dont want to get caught by the empire.
I crack up again.
