After months of reading this thread and laughing like crazy, i've finally got a small one of my own.

I'm advertising slicing in Coronet starport when this dude asks me to slice some stuff for him.

Dude: What's your policy?

Me: Policy? I charge 5k per item sliced

Dude trades and puts 5 T21 Rifles but doesn't click accept

Dude: Under what rate is it free?

Me: There are no freebies... that's a lame system... after all, your wepaon is guaranteed to be improved

Dude: And you charging 5k? thief

Dude: Probably using !@#& tools as well

This is when I get really annoyed. I'm very polite and love chatting up my customers but when people act like morons and start calling me a 'thief' that's when I get really pissed.

Me: Idiot... i'm the smuggler here... resource quality does not matter bu FYI, i'm using 90% Molecular Clamps and 88% Precision Laser Knives

Dude: What like I haven't mastered smuggler too? don't try and act like there is no difference in tool quality

Me: There is no difference in tool quality and I can bet you a million credits on that one. Don't believe me just ask *here's where I list out a few prominent smugglers on our server including electronomad*

Dude: Whatever... i'll contact my smuggler Whistler who is THE BEST smuggler on this server and he'll tell you and all your people otherwise

Me: LOL, Whistler is one of my best buddies. He lives in the same city and is right next door. He'll call you on this and make you look like a fool.

Dude: Ok well i'm used to that.

Heh, don't you just hate it when the customer thinks he's right?

Ihear you Cshauny! I once had a customer who just couldn't take my word for it when I tried to tell him that spices wouldn't fill his stomach meter and that they were not just expensive alterations of the alcohol every canitina bartender sells. After about 25 minutes of trying to explain the difference to him, I just gave up and gave him 100 credits to buy as many batha blood fizzes as he wanted. Maybe someday he'll learn what spice is.

Great thread anyway I'm 2 boxes from Master Smuggler on my new character/server. This story is accually from my orginal character on Bria but after reading these it really belongs here.

Backround: My character is a master doctor/TKM I had not played her in like a month. A friend (Novice Brawler working on unarmed 4) asked if I could help her get xp. Sure np I log in and find myself overt (Rebel) in the krayt graveyard OOPS. I manage to make it to Moenia with no problems. We get Fambaa missions and I procede to /warcry /peace fambaas for the next few hours while she sloooowly beat them to death. I was even playing with emotes to amuse myself (I never knew a Fambaa had hair I could comb) Anyway we finished the 4 missions and i needed an action break. I check the map we're only 1k from the Emp's retreat /evilgrin. We take down a half dozen troopers on the way up the hill when I spy an AT ST /evilgrin I check my buffs still good drink brandy and run in. I remind her to stay at least 10m away. Things were going well till she got a little over zelious and got to close next I know I'm hit ST ..heal me..hit ST..heal her ect well that and 2 good shots and I'm mind incapped. she bursts and breaks aggro and it chased far enough to forget about me. I get up 10 sec later and..........

Fool #1 challenges you to a duel (huh?)

turn around find 3 mabye covert imps none of them wearing armor. I check stats none are buffed.

me: you not that dumb are you?

Fool # 2: This is an imperial area you are not wanted here.

Fool # 1: Leave now or we'll kill you.

onlysmartguy: come on guys let's leave

me: ok 1 sec /meditate

(insert about a min. of normal imp smack talk while mind heals didn't really read it)

Me: Umm Yeah

Guy: Can you make a Schematic for me?

Me: Its gonna cost you

Guy: Well can you

Me: Yeah

Guy: Ok I'll give you the copper

Me: Fair enough, since its your copper ill charge you 3/4 the price

Guy: Ok I want it set to make 475

Me: Ok lemme figure out how much that will cost

Couple Calcs, turns out to be aorund 76k, drop it to 60k

Me: Thatll be 60k

Guy: What?

Me: Thats 3/4 of the price as if you bought 475 molecular clamps from me

Guy: What the hell are you fricken over charging me?

Me: Im not overcharging you

Guy: You can make it for free, just make it you retard

Me: No, You are paying for a skill I have

Guy: Jus make it for me god

Me: No

Guy: Why the hell not? Im giving you the materials, just make it

Me: Well think of it this way, why doesn't a master armorsmith "give out" the schematics for his comp armor?

*Silence*

Now seriously folks, this guy wanted me to just give away knowledge and skills my character possessed, that is entirely wrong. And the worst part was that this came form another Smuggler, I thought we were supposed to be intellegent... Either the guy was a holo chaser or we need to do some selective weeding of the ranks

You know, this isn't really ripping on anyone, but you know when you take Neutron Pixie, and the effects wear off and you get that awesome incap? I was running through Corellia just the other day and as the Incap animation ran I puked and it ran the puke animation. Well at this point all of the different parts of my body disconnected and did different things and started whirling aorund and everything else. So this guy was nearby getting spice from a different smuggler, and he was getting a "trial" when he spoke up and said " Whoa man I dunno about this stuff, I just saw someguy fly over backwards, and then fly apart and back together, this spice is some f***ed up sh*t."

The only thing I felt bad about this experiance was ruining the spice sale for the novice smuggler.. sorry man lol

just yesterday i was in the mining outpost on Dantooine trying to sell weapon slices.

I finaly got a tell from some one who wanted their weapon sliced.

But when he saw my Novice Smuggler title and changed his mind and told me he was going to find a Master Smuggler.

A couple of hours laterI was spaming again and I got another anoter tell from a person.

But once again the person saw my title and changed her mind, but this time i puched her in the face and yelled at her.

I dont think i'll ever get master with these kind of people

how far along slicing are you? the best way to do it is just get like 500 survival knives 500 kits and just grind it out

so i was kind of a turd on this one but its still funny.

while i was doing the container grind, i found that you pretty much had to pay around 6k for your containers or the people who had them would just put them on the bazaar knowing you would buy them.

so, im outside the theed starport buying out the bazaar and typing up my shout macro when i see another novice smuggler shouting he slices containers for free. i run up to him and see that he is a rebel in a guild that my guild has bones with.

i turn on my shout macro for slicing containers 10k apiece and the owner keeps all contents and the open container.

this guy didnt like that, so he begged me to go elsewhere as i was ruining his grind. i say go to hell and slice somebody's container.

a few minutes of him whining to me and me not responding, he changes his shout to "rebel and imperial smugglers slicing containers you pick which faction to support".

i change mine to "imperials pay better for containers, no matter what he is paying, i will pay 1k more"

he shouts, "support poor novice smuggler and let me slice container"

i shout "he kicks puppies and nuns for fun, i pay 15k per container, you keep contents"

i got slicing 1 in about an hour doing that. he got nothing.

valuable lesson to be learned there, he could have offered me green mail and bought me out for 50k and i would have gone to coronet, or he could have gone to coronet himself where there were 10 locked containers on the bazaar for 6k apiece.

yeah, im a turd, but i would have only taken a few containers from him and left, but he kept whining like a little girl with a skinned knee.

if you are jedi and you complain, i have one question for you. how many remember permadeth, kenetic damage lightsabers, and lightsaber TEFs?

Well, with the lack of smuggler content and my annoyance at people wanting me to pay them for opening a container (with my big fat MASTER SMUGGLER title on), I've decided to try some other professions I'd always been interested in.

With that said, I'm doing some medical component crafting in the cantina I run when I get a tell from a guy.

Guy - "r u a smuggler"

Me - "No." (I already know where this is going...)

Guy - "oic. did u use to be a smuggler"

Me - "Yes." (Now I thought he was looking for smuggler tips, which I have no problem against giving. I like helping out the newjacks.)

Guy - "i have a container"

silence... I figure that dealing with this type of customer is like dealing with a bear in the wild. Lay down, play dead, and pray to your favorite deity that they go away. 30 seconds pass.

Guy - "u can slice it"

Me - "No, I can't. I'm not a smuggler anymore."

Guy - "ill sell it to u for 5k"

Serenity Now... Hoochymomma...

Me - "No thank you. I'm not interested."

Oh, and to the above... A "n i p" can be used as a racial term for someone from Japan. Although it's mildly dated (considering WW2 ended a short while ago).
