a smuggler should be able to pull things from crap guns....and use them to improve other decent guns
IE: oohh look this cdef pistol has a nice hair trigger. itll fit nicley into my featherweight FWG5 !!!
smugglers dont depend on loot. they take what they can find off other things and use them. Not fighting krayts and nightsisters for trigger asemblies

Havnt had time to read all 22 pages of posts but the initial post by GM about loot items droped by highend stuffs like DWB and Avatar Platform is really not fun.
It feels very much like being a Master Smuggler really sucks (CL54). Or are they introducing a smuggler type of way to get in and out of the DWB without taking any shots?
Im happy I still have my Respec Token. I might very well end up using it if this turns out as bad as it sounds. I never enjoyed grinding for loot. And seems like this is just another one of those things... I dont like where this is going...
I might go back to play a Smuggler character that dont have smuggler in its template...
Why does everything new have to be new loot? JtL was Spacelootmania expansion now its another loot addon. Nothing is skill anymore just amount of time spent infront of the computer. Skill is just something you grind up in the reaccuring double xp week that comes every month...

Do you know how long it probably took him to pick the lock for his original post?
By now, they'll have him shackled up like Houdini. Good luck on that response.

CU killed anyone wanting to slice weapons and armour there is not marked advanatage.
Glad to see you killed the breakage idea, no one was going to get it done on anything high end. You are right it is not fun. Slicing is not fun in any form. It is way to get the capital to get the other tools to play in the game. I trade time and resources to get credits to get other things. I have gone from slicing daily to once every few weeks since the change. Now it gets harder, I will need special parts to do the work. Oh, I will still need WUK, AUK, knifes and clamps. That means finding a factory to run quanties and getting some one to make the schematics. Who else in the game gets to have this fun. Yes and to get the parts I have to get into the most difficult areas and risk distruction, and how many weapons to I get to slice with a component- one. Get real.
I have been playing for almost two years and this is just another blow to my game. Smugglers had almost no way to stay employed, no focused content and now just more problems. This is another chance to say something was done spending a lot of effort was expended and gaining nothing for the player. Why not focus on keeping things workable. Simple to understand and do.
I am amazed at the logic in this message. Any combination of slices is as good as anyother? BMW and VW are German cars both very useful for specific things, both high quality. Maybe you have a role model to follow. Simple isn't.

Well a bit Offtopic but BMW sucks monkey balls. The quality of BMW and VW Cars is slowly but steady going down the sink.

The lack of respect SOE has for it's players is baffling. If I treated my clients this way I'd be out of a job so fast it wouldn't be funny. And we won't hear another word from GM or any dev. They are going to push this through and we are going to have to like it. It's the lack of support that makes it hard for me to want to keep playing.

Yeah. thats the way people have been screwing over Jedi for the last year. It's a proven method.

You know what? Screw it! I'm tired of fighting Plan B! It aint gonna change! I'm just going to stock up on upgrade kits and take advantage or a bad situation. I might as well make a few million (the most I've had so far is 1.4 mill) to either blow, or start in my buy/sell slicing business. But if everyone starts selling this stuff cheap (cuz a ton of smugglers stockpiled) there's gonna be hell to pay! We have to keep prices from stockpiled stuff the SAME as if it was looted. You hear me? If I make little money on this deal I'm gonnna be pissed.
If people start out charging too low for these things, just hang onto yours and wait it out. Eventually the cheap ones will all get snapped up, and at that point you'll be able to set prices for yourself.

I say there should be no looting craft items from npc's. They should either be crafted or heck I liked plan A alot better then plan B.
OR the Dev's could think a little bit more and find out a way to not need thesecrafted items becuase that would take up ALOT of room in my inventory. ( THey could also read our forums to get ideas.)

Heh. Good luck with that one.
I have a "crazy" friend who thinks its right to ask poeple what they think. Green Machine, Is my friend "crazy" for thinking people should hold a community forum? Maybe heis. After all - its the same friend that drinks from the tiolet bowl when he's drunk. When asked why, he answers "...because it all tastes the same anyways..."
I guess he is my "crazy" friend.
