I'm curious to find out, is the damage slice percentage based on the weapons minimum damage or maximum? If it's maximum I supposed I can live with 8%... if it's minimum that's a problem.


i.e.

Weapon X

300-600 damage


Does a slice for 5% yeild

315-630 (expected scenario)

or

315-615 (worst case scenario)

or

330-630 (best case scenario)

Yes, it works like slicing other terminals. Just the radial menu there, you select it, you get a success sys message. No dialog or anything.

Ok... I'll explain it one more time, but that's it.

The weapon "breaking" that you are hearing about is the exact same thing as "retuning". It doesn't ruin your weapon, and as soon as it's repaired after "breaking", you can use it all over again.

On TC it's really really buggy right now, because it is ruining weapons. But that'll get fixed.



Ok im a newb smuggler and was wondering if smugglers are the ones who repair the weapons... and after repairing does it affect the condition or anything like that.

I am almost master smuggler but have only done very little slicing due to not being able to figure the old system out and percentages and such... this new system sounds more userfriendly but if ADK doesnt stop breaking and breaking causes condition loss what would the point of a ADK on a weapon be if the weapon would still degrade...

Maybe i'm just not looking in the right places, but has anyone posted anything regarding 'actual' slice results? I'm anxious to find information regarding my previous post.. but can't find any threads that have any actual slices posted.

Thanks for the response... LOL so smugglers really wont have to worry about jams to much... just have another weapon in the toolbar just in case yours jams... combat ends... and fix your jam

- What is the optimal DPS improving slice?


Slice three damage and three speed and DPS will increase by 14%witha 100% customisation gun (Master Smuggler needed).

Do we still get Slicing XP?


Is slicing XP still the flat 250 for weapons and armor or scaled bythe % of modification?

Isthe "Clone Armor" effected by the "break" if it is sliced? If it is, how will one get it fixed if they aren't able to trade it to a smuggler?


Also are the items still traded and done in the smugglers inventory or is it a "trade" like box?


Thinking of trying smuggling again, seems a little more friendlier.

Can you slice something more than once to change the customizations? Say you want your armor sliced one way for PvE and another for PvP?

since tc is staying up i'll have time to dive into some of the other items (like XP.. after a trip to the village since I'm capped right now)
