Exactly. Slicing has been REALLY watered down.

I'm also glad breakage is out. I personally don't think the minimal slice % (Reward) is worth taking the risk of you're weapon breaking (Risk). With breakage theres no way I would have a weapon sliced especiallyfor PvP, with the weapon caps theres no way anyone's going to be hitting me for major damage over what I can hit them for. I'll take that little extra damage someone will be doing to me in hopes that there weapon breaks . Beside how many times do you think it will take someone to stop getting slices after breakage.

I would have liked to see breakage like that. Something anyone could fix, but maybe smugglers were better at. Something that results in a 5 or 10 second penalty, nothing more.

It wouldn't hurt the smuggler profession to have this, because very smuggler would slice there own, there by making them that much better then who they are fighting who could do nothing but cry about the "breakage." If breakage is not put back in when this goes live my minimum slice price will be 50k and go up from there. I would encourage the rest of you smugglers to do the same, give them something to really cry about then.

why is it all the cool stuff gets nurfed before it even gets live? jamming guns in battle would have been awsome, i also think there should be charges added to the blasters, nothing worst then running outa ammo in a fight. except maybe you gun jamming.


as it is now you can just stand there all day shooting, no reloading no jams, no problems. where is the risk, where is the thrill

Sorry to get a little off topic... but where do you guys find these patch notes? I can NEVER seem to find them. I looked in the TC Forums... Can someone direct me so I can stop walking into these threads blind? Thanks much...



And I agree with the folks in favor of a Risk vs. Reward slicing system.

I like breakage.


Without it there doesnt seem to be any point to slicing.


Honestly If something makes a weapon stronger without any negative side effects than a master weaponsmith would have done it. The whole point of it being a smuggler skill is because it is reckless. You forfeit dependability for power.


Without breakage slicing is going to be pointless because everything will be sliced. theyll all have 100% slices and most will just be damage and rate of fire. Every gun in the entire game will be 10% better with no risks whatsoever.


I really hope once they fix the "breakage bringing condition to zero" bug they will put it back.


and people like one of the above posters who said everyone who wants risks with their rewards is a noob, should be tied down and shot with identical 10% enhanced weapons.

- I support NO DECAY.It should be run like EQ . No 20k price cap on the bazar and everyone can craft. Its has worked for 7 years on everquest and there is no decay plenty of money and no crazy prices.

Decay is only good for crafteres and bad for everyone else.

i'm pretty sure there is no garentee on illeagle fire arms, so our customers are not always right, we deside how things work, were not regulated by anyone other then ourselves. stop thinking of smuggler as a "Merchant or crafter" adn start thinkin of them as Crime loards and moffia men. why should the scum of the univers care if his clients gun fails in a fight? he has his credits and there are plenty of more suckers out there that will pay fer his service.
