Underworld 1. Overload knockdown. Simple enough move. Smuggler takes a ranged weapon and over a minute is able to remove the safety features on the weapon. The gun is now set to overload. Plus a trip fuse is planted on it. Any player that picks it up or bumps it, and it explodes, Knocking the player down and dizzying the player for a time proportional to the damage. In other words if you blow up an llc you will get a better result then blowing up a cdef. The smuggler will have the option to remote detonate weapon, or let it self delete once the smuggler is one thousand meters away of they leave the planet. This will allow smugglers to keep bhs from straight tracking them, and it could come in useful for pvp. Since nobody else can see it. A perfect way to ambush another player, or to defend a base.

Might be usefull, if seeing a weapon laying on the ground weren't so obvious.

Also, there's the exploit you know would happen of a Bounty Hunter seeing a Smuggler do this, so he clicks on the weapon from 50 meters away as its laid down, causing it to blow up right by the Smuggler.

With a little creativity we could use a bomb droid in this way, but the thought of leaving a weapon on the ground doesn't fly for all of the reasons already posted.

The point of the mine gun. Is you do not see it lying on the ground its a proximity mine. A hidden one even. All the other player would need is to get too close to it for it to blowup. Ergo a BH could not just center track another player. A BH has terrain negotiation. So eventually will overtake the smuggler. - I see your point of the Mine Gun, but I just don't see it working. A. There aren't guns just lying around in SWG B. When traveling on a bike, ussually by the time any hostile creatures load I'm past them, what do you think is going to happen with this gun?

Another point is why exactly would smugglers want a duplicate of a jedi hunt. Smugglers are not jedis. You fail a mission, and boom you cannot show your face in public. You cannot run a shop. You cannot stop and slice goods for other players. You can spend five or six days hideing, and not actually getting to interact with other players. - but we all aren't just going to go into hidding.

While if you make it an hour and half to two hour mission. Thats good for all concern you get the thrill of smuggleing you got danger. Even a weak smuggler can afford to do it. Its done and over with in a short amount of time. - What is the chance that a BH is going to be looking to take the mission at the sametime we do, chances are we'll have a good headstart on them and with JTL you can even do missions that span several planets very quickly. Plus, I maintain that a BH isn't going to hunt a Smuggler because they are Smuggling, they are going to hunt them because the Smugglerfailed his mission or stole from his employer. You can be a Smuggler and never get on the BH terminals as long as you do your job and don't get caught short changing your employer. If you've read some of the otherthreads you realize that there is a large group in the Smuggler community who do not want to PvP just to play their profession, they want to Smuggle.

If the mission is too easy there is absolutely no reason to put in a smuggler bounty system. If its too hard no smuggler in their right mind would run the mission. Lest a bh catch them and blackbar them.

I know alot of you havent actually seen how sick and twisted player bounties have actually gotten.

Corpse camping hideing in houses hideing in water constant pull vehicles gank squads protection squads blackbarring random logouts.

Add to that unless something was done about FD no bounty hunter in the game will even waste the time to hunt a smuggler. So unless they nerf FD, or make it fail on BHs. Both bad ideas your never going to get hunted by a BH. Meanwhile if its a state applied by doing a mission. Say the BH must bring back your head as proof. - I agree that something needs to be done to COUNTER FD.

Open ended bounties equal greifing.

Untainted FD means no point in hunting a smuggler. No risk at all for failing a mission.

This means if you are going to get xd by a BH odds are you are complicate in it.

Open ended bounties with no skill loss equals cheap creds. Smuggler takes mission just to fail it and get wasted by bh pal to split the money.

The system the poster is makeing is one of honesty policy on all sides. We all the players have to count on the smugglers, and bhs not to team to make easy money. The BH has to count on the smuggler to give him a fair chance to kill. Since why waste the time even if he will ista FD. The smuggler will have to count on a BH not to be a stalker. Some guy following him to wait for the smuggler to slice something for somebody and single two him in the back. Can we actually count on players not to abuse such a system. Someone will abuse the system. Even if its no danger smuggler. - if your Smuggling Mission takes 1 - 2 hours to complete, a Smuggler and BH could, bypass the wait, by each taking their missions and then meeting up, letting the BH kill the Smuggler and split the money. There will be exploiters in every system.

No Smuggler is going to do those missions. Running around on foot for two hours is not my idea of fun. The payout would have to be huge, if this is going to take up all of my gaming time. I do not believe that a skill should be nerfed for PvP activities. I believe that reiterating your same points over and over does not make them any better than the first time youposted them.

One I wasnt talking to you I was talking to the poster above and clearing up some points.

Two do you want smuggleing missions or glorified delivery missions. If you want delivery missions you got delivery missions now so if your one of those guys pushing for running contraband shutup you already got it go to a mission terminal and pull one, and you can pretend your running something dangerous.

If you make it so that a smuggler can use vehicles and FD is still functioning guess what there is no point for a bh to chase you, He can never catch you.

If you let the smuggler just use space ships guess what the smuggler will never be anywhere long enough for a bh to have a chance.

So you say just let it be openended if a smuggler fails the mission. Okay you know how that turns out a bh stows a smuggler mission. He waits he sees his mark in coronet good. He waits for the smuggler to start sliceing something for another player the bh walks up behind, and single 2s the smuggler. If that dosent incap the smuggler. Odds are the smuggler will immediately FD result the BH cannot finish his mission.

Now in what warped reality would any BH even waste the time on a smuggler mission. If the goal is to have smuggler bounties. You have to look at it from two sides. What makes it worth smuggler doing these missions, and what would make it worthwhile for a BH to hunt a smuggler.

I do not know what you guys are on. Either you are for BHs hunting smugglers or your not. If you run it anything like the current jedi system guess what it will suck. No danger for smugglers no accomplishment for BH. You are wasteing valuable developement time that can go to something that atleast enriches the game like giveing teddybears to dancers.

Great minds can spell correctly though, and that's one place you don't dare to tread.

Nice one starring yim I guess we know who the one star troll is now.

Does your star rating mean that much to you? Seriously, I thought a great mind like yours would be above all that.

Still havent heard any of you say why hunting a player that can play dead and never be killed is a real cracker jack thing for a BH to do.

And I still haven't seen over 50% of what you type make sense. Go figure.

I would also like to know why players think they should get a big gigantic huge payout for doing glorified delivery missions unless there is actual risk involved.

And I'd really like to know why you want Weaponsmiths to have the ability to slice, and Smugglers to cost less skill points, but you seemed to have dodged those questions pretty well.

Five stars to you Veela for the much needed comic relief on my MondayTuesday (just feels like Monday).Too eff'ing funny you are.

You know how people use 'lol' figuratively, but really they're *not* laughing out loud? I read your post above and laughed out loud three separate times.

I'm a cheap date. What can I say?

Yeah figures none of you got a answer to why a bh would waste the time hunting someone who play dead after shot number 1. I do not blame you its not like there really is a good answer to this one.

UM yeah seeing as I have been called the one star wonder troll. I think its funny when I spotted yimaz as one. Those who live in glass houses and all.

Gee whiz I guess some people are still totally ignorant even after I post a point. The differing smuggler and weaponsmith sliceing thing. Was on the weaponsmith forum, and it was a stream of random ideas some bad for smuggler some good for smuggler. Its called being nonpartisan on a subject. What really blows my mind on the subject is this. Why would I a master weaponsmith smuggler. Make these suggestions all of which would hurt me. I got a leg up on regular smugglers. I got a leg up on regular weaponsmiths. All these ideas could do is hurt my business. If that isnt a sign of it being totally nonselfish I do not know what is.

Though just to shut some people up I am going to get the sticky for this weaponsmith thread and let all you wonderful people read it. Just to shut up the guy who takes things out of context.

Oh by the way here is the thread I posted on this subject on the weaponsmith forum I would like to point out to you guys the part about. Not allowing sliced items being vendorable. Seeing as I am so antismuggler pro weaponsmith.
