Thread: Smugglers dont want the loot system to do their jobs:) Sign here..
For the very first time in two years... I'm contemplating quitting the game.
And THAT upsets me in ways I cannot describe.
and to everyone defendin this loot crap..
why the hell should everything in this damn game be based off of killin crap and lootin and all that?
smugglers were unique before all this crap went down..
I think it is about time players stop taking less and started getting more. I would like a new mission based loot system for slicing parts. I would also like to be able and slice ship parts and have smugglers be able to add illegal parts to ships....and have the empire spawn or rebels and chase you while you are in space...or better yet BH npc ships follow you if you launch with illegal parts

Been a smuggler on 2 servers for over a year. IMO smugglers are great for acomplishing most quests, now we are forced to farm for tools to make a living. It's embarrasing to be encouraged to farm by SOE =/

We could imagine some missions for smugglers to gain slicing tools, or new schematics...Ive read a lot of good ideason this forum, so dont let the smugglers without job..help us

for all the good it will do. the dev know better what we want. at least better than we do, we just wouldn't have fun if they left things alone that worked.

They STILL haven't bothered to let us know why THAT got shelved along with 5 months of our discussions without ONE word in return from them.

I really try to keep an open mind, but this sucks.... I destroyed Tier 4 Blacksuns for an hour tonight with no drops. I was informed that Imp/Reb NPCs are dropping, killed Imps for an hour with no drops....

QFE!They did the same thing with the CU. Told us they were going to do one thing for months... then dicided to doanother. I was totally looking towards the slicing mini game
I would be all for the loot system if, lilke some of you have already mentioned, the loot drops were:
More frequent
on mobs that were easier to take down
I would also like to see a fix VERY soon on the crated WUK's and AUK's.......I would accept that we be allowed to salvage at least every 3-5 kits in our crates.

But slicing is kind of like a loot based WS now and you can go about the business in a couple of ways, buy the parts and mark them up for slicing or charge a fee for slicing the part if the client brings it. Even with old system you had to buy the resources or the parts. Smugglers couldn't make the upgrade kits on their own. So now instead of a high volume low margin business where you sit in a room or a starport for hours slicing over and over you have a low volume high margin business where you do an expensive slice once in while and can spend the rest of your time doing something more interesting.
So I wouldn’t throw the system out because they drop rate and conversion process is fubar, I would ask them to fix those two things.
