If you never saw a Jedi how would you know there are too many?
You wouldn't
So if they made it so Jedi did not wear robes or LS in public you would never know so this forced PvP would be pointless and the Jedi population would be unimportant, except for paranoia.

I guess then George Lucas should never have had Jedi...but that was the core of the Star wars movies, oh well what does George Lucas know.
but really if you dont like Jedi, dont play Star Wars, get Everquest, City of Heroes, Legacy II, etc. There are many games to choose from, and only SWG has Jedi, so you have more choices then I do, I want to play a MMORPG Jedi I have only one place to go for that, we will miss ya in SWG but you should be happier elsewhere if Jedi irritate you so bad.

it's all cool dude, I'm not taking this seriously, but I can still express my opinion. It's just a game, but it would be nice if I could have fun with it as well, sometimes I feel I wasted my money buying this, all I wanted was an MMORPG Jedi, I hate PvP is all, I dont mind hunting in the wilds I am not a show off in the slightest, I dont want to fight players as it always comes down to who knows the most exploits and has the best stuff, that to me is pretty pointless.

jedi aren't teh only folks that would make fd useless for. The only time I ever use fd is in pvp.
Using FD in PVP is ridiculous. FD is a defensive mechanism, when you declare you are seeking out combat. So if you choose to go on offense (ie be overt), you should not longer be afforded the protection of FD.
Center of Being is a defensive mechanism. When you go overt, you're actively seeking out combat. So if you choose to go on offense (ie be overt), you should no longer be afforded the protection of center of being, or state defenses, ranged and melee defenses for that matter.
and using feign death is an awesome tactic - especially when the opposition guns specifically for someone who has the skill. The fight opens up with everyone pounding on 1 guy, he's almost dead... woops he fiegned and they're still attacking him/her while the rest of the group gets free shots at the others. The other's move on, a doc slaps a stim E on the fiegned (or s/he fow's) and they're back kicking butt again.

Well Panic shot and low blow are basicly defensive move as well for a smuggler to get away. should those not be used in PVP either? Hrmmmm wow all my TKM mods are Defensice Mechanisms too Guess i shouldnt have those Mods work when I PVP either.

yeah lord knows thier $15 per month is worth less then your $15 per month, so they should be harrassed, how pathetic
Currently, it seems that a smugglers $15 per month is worth less than a Jedi's $15 per month, as the Jedi have had their entire profession overhauled and have had 2 publishes dedicated to them, whereas the smugglers have been promised a revamp for over a year now and have gotten only negative changes.
I'm not for harrassment of any profession, by the way. But I also don't want a skill my profession uses eliminated because some dabblers are abusing it. We don't have a lot as it is, wedon't need to lose any more. So if it means Jedi don't get access to that skill, well - guess it sucks to be a Jedi.

Very true. I hate the whole concept of using FD in PVP. Playing dead might work on a bear but it would certainly not work on a human.
Disagree a critter might start to eat you if it thinks your dead in the heat of battle playing dead works till the battle ends and by that time the smuggler has made his escape.

you guys can't empathize with the BH even a little?
when a jedi uses feign, that it, game over man, game over. there has some be SOMETHING to counter this and atm there isn't. tanks says a posture up attack (rifleman) is supposed to break a feign, but it's bugged right now and he's pushing for a fix.
i don't understand what the problem is tho, i was under the assumption that FD was useless for non-jedi in pvp anyway since you WILL lose your armor and WILL be blackbarred. plus, even if you do have to die in pvp, what do you lose? i really enjoy killing people in the GCW, but while looking for overts i ran into a jedi, she killed me in about 20 secs, i cloned, and wasn't all that bummed. i lost my buffs ya, but i didn't have to reinsure and i didn't take hardly any wounds or battle fatigue.
maybe just making states go through saberblock would be enough? and make it so stun or dizzy or blind keeps you from feigning. stun used to do this i think, but it's been confirmed that it doesn't anymore.
this is a real problem for BHs. it's like flushing 40 minutes and about 20k if there isn't a fight down the toilet.
