Well... the Alpha testers didn't test something, correct? So wouldn't
that be their own fault for not testing it?

Not a single 'team' memberhas beenable to test the CU at this
point.Alpha has been completely internal, meaning Devs only. So, if it
comes around that anyone feels the need to blame someone for what goes in, make
sure you blame the right people.

Yetif something happens that you don't like,it's not from a
lack of testing and feedback as provided by the players who signed up to
do so. All they've been able to do is read some documents and comment as they
could, nothing more. Team Low Blow did what it could and they did a terrific job
given what was available. They represented smugglers and their concerns well
butit remains to be seen if the developers listened to what they were
saying.

On a possitive note, forthose who wanted to be in the 'Teams', well
youdidn't really miss much.

Hate to say it, but I'm gone too...for pretty much the same reasons as Ryutek.

Tristyn's account will be cancelled tonight.

Dreven will still be "active" as part of my Station Access. But, I'll be joining friends in EQ2. I may return to SWG for the Smuggler Revamp, but it's not likely that I'll ever be as active as I once was.

I think we should have a smuggler's funeral for Trist, and launch him from a launcher tube into a Corsair Man O War.

SIN Just won't be the same... Can I have your stuff?

Just saw this...

A funeral for Tris would be nice. Perhaps sacrificing him to the sarlac or something.

And no...you can't have my stuff...not that I have much to offer anyway. I will be emptying my vendors tonight though (assuming they're not already empty). So, if you catch me while I'm on, you can come by and pick up any paintings or whatever else you might've dropped on theim for me to sell.

Last I checked, all of my supply vendors were completely wiped out though, otherwise I would've offered you some supplies.

Tris' account is officially cancelled, but won't run out until April 19.

The saddest part for me from this whole mess is that SOE just pi$$ed off tne wrong group of people. Think of the criteria most professions used in selecting their team, these people were:

Active members of the forums and their communities

Passionate about SWG and SW in general

Knowledgable about their profession as well as the game mechanics

Spend a lot of time ingame and active on their servers

Have an understanding of the scope of this game, this genre, this license, and this fanbase

Influential contributors who would be considered "leaders" amongst their communities

Not exactly the group of people one would want to make irate. Yet they did. Now we will probably see many of these people go the way of Gordon and say bye-bye to this game...and we will be the ones who suffer from their absence.

It's a shame.

To be fair I know that Gabe had announced his retirement before I lost C-Forum access, so I would not read too much into that, as it is entirely unrelated.

Yeh, Waste had announced his retirement beforehand aswell.,,

V E E L A "her royal hawtness"
I am Jack's Smirking Revenge. I am Jack's Ignored Profession.
Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Editor's Note: The author of the above post has quit giving SOE her money. She suggests you do the same, because this game will never be what you want it to be.

I'm slowly starting to think that these kinds of people might not be the intended target audience for the game anymore.

Panicking is never conducive to any kind of positive direction, period.
